FourPlayer Local Fixes
Profile-specific Valheim 1.0.21 fixes: EpicLoot 0.15.4 bag input, InventorySlots 1.6.25 ranges and handoff deadlines, AutomaticFuel 1.6.1 container lifetime/search, Better Riding skill API. Includes prior fixes.FourPlayer Local Fixes 1.6.3
Profile-specific, AI-assisted compatibility and CPU-side fixes for an existing four-player Valheim modpack. This is not a general performance guarantee or a complete modpack.
1.6.3 scope
- Audited against installed Valheim 1.0.21, EpicLoot 0.15.4, AutomaticFuel 1.6.1 and InventorySlots 1.6.25.
- Restore TrollingFishing 1.1.5 and UsefulTankards 1.0.9 storage input after Epic Loot replaced its old socket screen/setting. Use Epic Loot's current input decision. Its separate shard panel no longer masquerades as an open chest. An earlier startup warning from those mods can precede the explicit recovery message.
- Restore the configured F9/F10 AutomaticFuel guard and twice-maximum-workbench quick-stack range on audited new versions. Extend current InventorySlots handoff approval/state waits to four seconds without replacing its ownership/revision checks or new recovery state machine.
- Correct the AutomaticFuel container-cleanup type to AutomaticFuel.Patches.Configs. The old compatibility release inspected a non-existent type and an unused registry. Unloaded references are now removed from the registry actually searched by the mod.
- Reduce automatic-fuel search allocations/component lookups and omit an unused faction-area query. Preserve ordering, search range, ward and chest access checks, and inventory loading. No inventory or network state cache is introduced.
- Replace only Better Riding 1.0.3's obsolete skill-command prefix with the same behavior using the current five-argument Character.Message API. No normal skill or balance change.
- Keep upstream EpicLoot 0.15.4's own shardstone fix; the older local shard-variant patch remains restricted to 0.15.1.
Validation and limits
Compiled against the installed game and BepInEx libraries. Direct API references, relevant private field/delegate signatures and exact handoff/network patch sites were checked without launching the game. Multiplayer, actual input behavior, long sessions and FPS improvements were not runtime-tested. Full source is included; review it before use in a different profile.
Install this package on all peers, remove duplicate local or standalone copies once, and keep identical game/mod versions and configurations. Update the owner's Gale profile and push its Sync after installing a newly published version. Publishing alone does not update a Sync profile.
The package contains no saves, account data or user configuration. Existing earlier fixes and their profile-specific defaults remain included. Back up your profile before migration.
Prior documentation
FourPlayer Local Fixes 1.6.2
Profile-specific compatibility and quality-of-life patches for a four-player Valheim 1.0.20 mod setup. This is an experimental patch bundle, not a general-purpose performance mod. It contains AI-assisted code and has not been validated in a live four-player session.
Installation and updates
Install this package through Gale on the host and every client. All players should use the same package version. Dependencies declared in the manifest are required; most other integrations activate only when their supported target mod is present.
For migration from a manually imported FourPlayer_Local_Fixes ZIP, close Valheim and remove the old LOCAL entry from Gale once before installing the online package. Keep your configuration files. Do not leave old standalone copies of Periodic Stutter Fix, Keybind Compatibility, World Load Map Save Fix or Profile Compatibility Fix enabled alongside this bundle. Four DLLs inside the single bundle are intentional.
After the profile owner installs a new online release and uploads the updated Sync profile, friends can receive that release through Gale Sync. Publishing a release alone does not update a pinned Sync profile. Do not import the old manual ZIP again after moving to the online package.
Included changes
- Scoped performance and object-lifetime fixes for supported mod versions, including AutomaticFuel container tracking and Wizardry summon sound network objects.
- Map-save compatibility and keyboard-only vibration allocation avoidance.
- Profile compatibility fixes for EpicLoot shard visual indices and the EpicLoot bag interaction bridges used by TrollingFishing and UsefulTankards.
- InventorySlots and AzuCraftyBoxes range integration, and a CollectionChest collection guard during inventory access/area transfers.
- Existing profile behavior: crop regrowth at 45 minutes, zero weight for selected essence/spell items, dragon-only map filtering, restored summon appearance and protection of player-built pieces from allied summon damage.
- Optional controls enforcement for AutomaticFuel F9/F10. Disable
Controls / Restore Automatic Fuel Hotkeysbefore intentionally choosing different keys.
These profile changes affect gameplay and may not fit other modpacks. Review local.profile.compatibilityfix.cfg and local.profile.periodicstutterfix.cfg before using the bundle in another setup. Configurations and other authors' mod binaries are not included in this package. In-game changes take effect through the plugins, including the shared-map save compatibility component. No existing world or character save is modified during package installation.
Supported integrations in this release
Recent scoped integrations target Wizardry 1.2.3, AutomaticFuel 1.5.9, InventorySlots 1.6.23, AzuCraftyBoxes 1.8.28, CollectionChest 1.0.0, EpicLoot 0.15.1, TrollingFishing 1.1.5 and UsefulTankards 1.0.9. Integrations with version checks skip unsupported versions. The older InventorySlots 1.6.18-specific lease recovery patch does not run against 1.6.23.
Validation and limitations
The four DLLs are identical to the local 1.6.2 bundle. Source inspection, compilation, selected API/IL checks and archive/hash checks were performed. No live game/world test was performed for this release. FPS gains, UI placement and long-session multiplayer behavior remain unverified. This package does not claim to fix every stutter, shader warning or UI exception.
Source files and component hashes are included under Source/. Original mod authors retain rights to their own mods; this package only distributes the separate compatibility plugins.
