Never squint at your food bar again. FoodHighlighter draws an outline around the fork icon of the best food you haven't eaten yet - one highlight for each food type - so at a glance you know what to eat next.
The fork icon is the little food-type marker Valheim already shows on food items, colored by type (healing / stamina / eitr / mixed). This mod outlines the best one you haven't eaten in each type.
How it picks
- Every food is sorted by the same rule Valheim uses to color its fork icon - healing, stamina, eitr, or mixed.
- In each type it finds the best food (by total value) whose type you don't currently have active and outlines its fork.
- All three highlights show at once - so your best healing food, best stamina food, and best mixed food are lit at the same time. Got two stamina foods? Only the better one is outlined.
- Eaten your best of a type already? The outline moves to the next-best of that type you haven't eaten.
- All 3 food slots full? Nothing is highlighted - there's nothing new to eat.
The outline color is the photo-negative of each fork's own color, so a highlighted fork always contrasts sharply against itself and is easy to spot.
Only your own inventory is highlighted - chests and other containers are left alone.

Notes
Requires BepInEx. Purely visual and client-side - it changes nothing about the game itself, just adds an outline in your inventory UI.
