Sleep Resets Forsaken Powers

A small BepInEx mod for Valheim that resets your Forsaken Power cooldown every time you sleep in a bed.

Sleep off the night and wake up with Eikthyr, The Elder, Bonemass, Moder, Yagluth, The Queen, or Fader ready to go again — no more waiting out the 20-minute cooldown.

How it works

The active Forsaken Power cooldown is stored on your character (Player.m_guardianPowerCooldown, the same value the setpower console command clears). The moment you get out of bed — i.e. after you have woken up — this mod sets that cooldown to zero. Purely client-side and only affects your local player.

Installation

With r2modman / Thunderstore Mod Manager (recommended)

1. Make sure the BepInExPack Valheim dependency is installed (r2modman installs it automatically from the dependencies in manifest.json).
2. Install this mod:
   • From a local zip: in r2modman go to Settings → Import local mod and select the packaged zip (see Packaging below), or
   • drop SleepResetPowers.dll into the profile's BepInEx/plugins folder.
3. Launch the game through r2modman.

Manual (no mod manager)

Copy SleepResetPowers.dll into Valheim/BepInEx/plugins/.

Configuration

After running the game once, a config file appears at BepInEx/config/flashbak.sleepresetpowers.cfg:

VerboseLogging	false	Log a line to the BepInEx console each time a cooldown is reset.

Building from source

Requires the .NET SDK and a local Valheim install (only the game's valheim_Data/Managed DLLs are needed — BepInEx and Harmony come from NuGet automatically, so you do not need BepInEx installed in the game folder to build).

The compiled SleepResetPowers.dll lands in SleepResetPowers/bin/Release/.

Or build and produce the r2modman-ready zip in one step:

Packaging for Thunderstore / r2modman local import

Zip the following at the root of the archive:

icon.png            (256x256 PNG — add your own)
SleepResetPowers.dll

Then import that zip via r2modman's Import local mod.

Compatibility

• Works alongside other Forsaken Power mods (ForsakenPowersPlus, etc.); it only writes the cooldown field when you fall asleep.
• Client-side. On multiplayer it only affects the player who has the mod installed.
