Hearthbound Valheim Modpack (Official)

Welcome to Hearthbound Valheim Server — a public, casual-friendly, secured modded Valheim server built as a meeting place for Vikings from different timezones.

✅ No whitelisting required — anyone can join anytime.

Quick Start (How to Join)

1) Install the Modpack

1. Install a mod manager: Thunderstore Mod Manager or r2modman
2. Select Valheim
3. Create a new profile (recommended)
4. Search and install: Hearthbound Valheim Modpack
5. Click Start modded

Important: Always launch Valheim via the mod manager so all mods/configs load correctly.

2) Join the Server (FastLink)

1. From the Valheim main menu, open FastLink
2. Select Hearthbound Valheim Server
3. Join

If the server isn’t showing in FastLink, check the Taeguk Gamers Discord for the latest server status/entry details.

Public Server (No Whitelist)

This server is now fully public:

• ✅ No application
• ✅ No approval process
• ✅ Join anytime as long as you’re using the modpack

Local Seed Characters Are Allowed (This Is Intentional)

You can bring your local character

Yes — you can join the server using your local characters, including the items they currently have.

What “local seed” means (and why this server exists)

Think of Hearthbound as a shared hub world:

• Your local world/seed is your personal adventure world (solo/with friends, build at your pace).
• The Hearthbound server is where players meet up, party, explore, trade, and do community activities — without needing everyone online at the same time.

This is designed for working players and mixed timezones: hop in, team up, then continue your journey back on your own local seed.

Safe for Local Worlds (Switch Server ↔ Local With the Same Character)

This modpack is configured so your local progression/keys are not forced to match the server when you log in.

✅ You can use the same character for:

• Local seed (with this modpack enabled)
• Hearthbound server (with this modpack enabled)

Strong recommendation:

• Use the same modpack profile whenever you play that character (server + local).
• If you want to play pure vanilla (no mods), use a separate character to avoid missing/unsupported modded items.

Gameplay Highlights

Simple Market (Trade With Other Players)

This pack includes Simple Market, allowing players to access a market (from a comfort/rest area, server-configured) to trade with others.

• Benefit for the server: encourages a player-driven economy and async cooperation.
• Hop in, list/buy, log out — no need to coordinate schedules.

Companions (Offline + Wandering)

This pack includes Offline Companions and Wandering Companions.

• Hire helpful NPC companions with their own stats, inventory, and AI.
• Defeat roaming “wanderer” NPCs to earn loyal companions (great for solo players and small groups).

Trader Additions (TraderOverhaul + HaldorBounties)

• TraderOverhaul improves the trader experience with a unified UI for Haldor, Hildir, and Bog Witch and fair, progression-aware pricing.
• HaldorBounties adds daily bounty contracts at Haldor so you always have something fun to hunt for rewards.

Skills, Salvage, and Fashion

• ImpactfulSkills makes skill progression feel more meaningful over time.
• Recycle N Reclaim lets you recycle crafted items back into useful materials (less waste, more building).
• Armoire lets you save outfits and override appearances using a buildable wardrobe (cosmetic fun, multiplayer-friendly).
