What I do

• Sail between named docks: configure a Dock Ward, board and choose a destination. Reverse departures, course changes and clearance checks included.
• Fetch named ships: call an empty ship to a dock or use a Gullcall Whistle near shore. The gull sails it to your calling spot—arrival takes time. You can leave; the destination stays fixed.
• Explain delays: squawks and chat messages for obstructions, shallow water and longer planning. Ask What’s happening? for the current status.
• Announce arrival: a squawk, a message and a gull settling on his perch.
• Show the route: blue wisps float 4 metres above the course. Show or hide them from the gull, dock or whistle menu.
• Unload with Quartermaster: request unloading near a Deposit Chest. One cargo slot per step, three thrown trinkets per slot. Nothing unloads without your order.

Helmet and weather reactions included. Supports standard ship physics, including eligible modded boats. Rowboats need two seats; see Compatibility.

Get sailing

1. Install BepInEx, Jötunn and Helmsman.
2. Build a Dock Ward and configure its berth and departure.
3. At the mast, tap Use to hold fast; hold Use to call the gull. Speak after he lands.

The shortcut setting is Controls → CallGullKey.

Gullcall Whistle: handcraft with 4 bone fragments, 2 wood, 2 leather scraps and 2 feathers. Use near shore and choose an empty named ship. The gull sails it to safe water beside that spot. No dock required.

Solo play has been used locally. Recent fixes and remaining checks are listed in Testing.

Slow down and release the helm before giving orders. Boat sold pre-scratched.
