Your Viking ate a feast. Now you're rearranging chests, fixing the roof, and wondering where dinner went.

BaseFood gives your meals a little breathing room. Food timers pause at an established base, and your food lasts longer while you're Rested. Install it, settle in, and get back to the fun stuff!

Home sweet home 🔥

Stay within 75 metres of all three:

• A lit fire — campfire, hearth, bonfire, or brazier.
• A workbench.
• A forge.

That's it! Once your base is detected, your food countdowns take a break. Health regeneration keeps working normally, so you can heal up while you putter around home.

Stepped just outside the cosy zone? You get 20 seconds of lingering protection. Grab that wood, check the garden, and carry on.

Rested? Your dinner appreciates it. 💤

With the Rested buff, food timers tick 25% slower, wherever your adventures take you. At home, the full pause takes priority. Away from home, Rested still helps every bite go further.

Grab a seat and dig in

Install with your Thunderstore-compatible mod manager, then Start modded. The required BepInEx pack is handled automatically.

Prefer manual installation? With BepInEx installed, copy the package's BepInEx folder into your game folder or mod profile.

Settings appear in BepInEx/config/local.basefood.cfg after the first launch. Existing settings are kept when updating. Base detection can take around 10 seconds; ordinary torches don't count as cosy fires.

Switching from FoodFreezer? Disable it first. Use one food-timer mod at a time for the best experience.
