Tamed Animal Drops gives adult tamed animals at least 2 of each supported meat, hide or leather resource already present in their normal enabled drop table. A tamed adult boar, for example, can provide at least 2 raw meat and 2 leather scraps. Animals that do not normally drop hide will not gain a hide drop.

Built against Valheim 1.0.16 with BepInExPack Valheim 5.4.2351 and Jotunn 2.30.2. Install the same helper version on every player client and the server. ImpactfulSkills 0.20.2 was reviewed for its optional Animal Handling bonus; ImpactfulSkills is not required.

FROM THE PASTURE / HOW DROPS WORK
- A minimum of two for each supported meat, hide or leather resource in the animal's own enabled drop table.
- Larger yields stay larger. Existing increases from stars and ordinary resource settings are retained.
- ImpactfulSkills can still add more. The minimum is applied before its existing Animal Handling loot bonus, when that bonus's normal range and player conditions are met.
- One drop event. The helper adjusts the original result rather than spawning a second set of loot.
Wild animals, juveniles, bosses, trophies, feathers and unrelated drops keep their normal behaviour. The helper adds no new luck roll and does not change which player receives a skill bonus.
WHAT IT COVERS / SUPPORTED RESOURCES
Supported resources include vanilla meats and common hides, OdinHorse meat and hide, Odin's Hares meat and hides, and selected additional bear, boar and serpent resources. A supported resource must already exist in that animal's own enabled drop table. This is not a blanket increase for every item from every creature mod.
The mod does not remove animals, stop breeding or change AI. It increases useful yield per adult animal, so you can choose to keep fewer animals at your base.
READY THE PASTURE / INSTALLATION
- Close Valheim and stop the server normally before changing plugins.
- Install BepInExPack Valheim, Jotunn and TamedAnimalDrops on every player client and the dedicated server.
- Use the same TamedAnimalDrops version everywhere, then restart the server and clients.
Your existing world, characters and tamed animals can stay as they are. No new world is needed.
Manual installation: copy the package's plugins/TamedAnimalDrops folder into BepInEx/plugins on each endpoint. Keep only one copy of TamedAnimalDrops.dll.
Replacing a local test copy? Remove its local mod entry while the game and mod manager are closed, then install the published package. Keep only one helper DLL.
YOUR SETTINGS
There is no configuration file. The minimum is two for the supported resources described above.
FIELD NOTES / COMPATIBILITY AND REMOVAL
Look for this startup line in BepInEx/LogOutput.log:
ACTIVE: adult tame meat/hide minimum 2; normal larger drops retained; applied before ImpactfulSkills.
ImpactfulSkills bonuses: that mod handles its own bonus, including its existing limitation when a dedicated server processes the death without a local player. This helper does not change that attribution or guarantee a skill bonus on every kill.
Unexpected drops: include the animal species, whether it was adult and tamed, its stars, the dropped item and quantity, your relevant mod versions and the BepInEx log.
Removal: save and close the game and server, then remove the helper from every endpoint to return to the previous drop behaviour. Items already collected remain ordinary items.
