RealmForgeStats
Optional client mod that sends your own skills, death causes and lifetime tallies (kills, trees felled, distance, bosses) to the server for a stats page. Never reads your inventory.RealmForge Stats
Sends your own skill levels, death causes and lifetime tallies to the server so they can be shown on a server's stats page — leaderboards for kills, trees felled, distance travelled, bosses, fishing and more.
Optional for every player. Install it and you appear in the tables; don't, and you simply don't. Nobody is ever kicked for lacking it.
Why it exists
Valheim keeps characters on each player's own PC. A world save contains no player data at all, and a dedicated server never learns why anyone died — it only sees that a character was reset. Meanwhile the game itself is quietly counting 200+ things about you, including 26 separate causes of death.
Those numbers exist. They just have no way of reaching the server. This mod is that way.
What is sent
- Character name and skill levels
- Death causes — killed by a creature, fell, drowned, froze, burned, poisoned, crushed by a tree, and the rest
- Lifetime tallies — kills, boss kills, trees felled (by species), distance walked / ran / sailed, pieces built, tallest build, mining, fishing, taming
- Per-creature kill counts
One small update every two minutes while you play, skipped entirely when nothing has changed.
What is never sent
- Your inventory. Not what you carry, not what you have crafted, not what you have picked up. What you own is nobody else's business.
- Whether you have used console commands. The game records it; this mod does not read it. A stats page should be a leaderboard, not a report card.
Installing
Players — install with a mod manager, or drop RealmForgeStats.dll into
BepInEx/plugins/. That is all; there is nothing to configure.
Server admins — the same DLL on the server, which receives what players
send and writes it to live-stats.json for your site to read. By default that
lands in a stats folder beside the game install; set the environment variable
REALMFORGE_STATS_DIR to put it somewhere specific. The server never requires
the mod of anyone: clients without it are simply absent from the data.
Rows are keyed to the sending player, so nobody can write anyone else's stats. The numbers come from a client and a client can lie, so treat them as a fun scoreboard rather than an audited record — this only ever feeds a display file and never affects gameplay.
A note on the numbers
The tallies are lifetime totals for that character, not for the current world. A player who has been at it for years arrives with a head start.
