modpack001 REQUIRED mods, modpack001 RECOMMENDED mods and modpack001 BUILDER mods are known to co-exist with each other ie: you can install all of them with no conflicts.2024-10-29 Patch 0.219.13 TheBogWitch2024-08-19 Patch 0.218.21 Ashlandsie: steam beta: default_prebw, Game: Patch0.218.21 Ashlands, Thunderstore: mods released PRIOR to 2024-10-29 (TheBogWitch update)
To use these mods you first need to change the game's beta setting in steam to default_prebw.
You CAN switch from default_prebw (2024-08-19_Patch0.218.21_Ashlands) to bogwitch at any time, but bogwitch will convert any maps/characters that you enter a map with to 2024-10-29_Patch0.219.13_TheBogWitch, and this is NOT backward compatible.
Some of these mods MAY (do) still work in bogwitch, but most do not. They do however have bogwitch compatible versions available.
Therefore the easiest way to handle switching between (old) 2024-08-19_Patch0.218.21_Ashlands and (new) 2024-10-29_Patch0.219.13_TheBogWitch is to make copies of the following directories - in total usually less than 3GB each - and symlink/rename them as needed (BEFORE you switch beta versions in steam, which takes effect immediately):
Your operating systems user account settings: eg: (linux): /home/$USER/.config/unity3d/IronGate/Valheim/
Steam's common game directory: eg: (linux): /home/user/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/Valheim/
2024-10-29 Patch0.219.13 TheBogWitch broke some keyboards/mouse inputs.
Basically making the game unplayable without rebinding keys and/or abandoning the use of various mouse buttons.
Some of us don't care about a new trader or controllers we dont use, but do like having a functional keyboard/mouse, so it's fine to live in the past for a while longer. I mean: it's Valheim, we are already dead anyway. Who's in a hurry?
