Allspeak

BepInEx plugin that detects the language of incoming chat messages and shows a translation in the chat panel. Messages already in the target language, or in a language you've marked as ignored, are left alone.

Privacy: chat text is sent to Google Translate to be translated.

Behavior

• Per-player language memory (keyed by platform ID, e.g. Steam ID) in BepInEx/config/com.iyon.allspeak.players.tsv:
  • Messages are autodetected; a confident detection (≥ DetectionConfidence) is remembered, replacing a different language of equal or lower confidence.
  • For short messages (≤ 4 words) whose autodetection falls below DetectionConfidence, the remembered language is tried as the source instead.
  • Delete the file (or a line) to reset.
• If the detected language equals TargetLanguage or is in IgnoredLanguages, nothing is shown.
• Otherwise the translation is shown, formatted like a native chat line (name color, shout/whisper casing):
  • HideOriginal = true: original line replaced by [💬] Bjørn: Hello there. If nothing is translated (understood language, request failure) the original is shown as usual.
  • HideOriginal = false: original kept, followed by [de→en] Bjørn: Hello there.
• On world join, self-test reports Allspeak is active in the target language (or Allspeak inactive, check logs on failure).

Created on first game launch. Editable in r2modman / Thunderstore Mod Manager (Config editor) or any text editor; restart game to apply.
