Adds free combat companions, a farmer who tends crops, and an optional Fuling visitor.

• Companions: Place and claim a Mercenary Banner to recruit a Warrior, Archer, and Healer. Their gear and food scale with your progression. Fallen companions return to the banner.
• Chopping and mining: Order companions to chop trees or mine exposed rocks. Their tools follow your progression, and drops stay on the ground for you to collect.
• Guides: Have a companion lead you to your tombstone, boss markers, nearby resources, or dungeons.
• Conversation: Ask about enemies, crafting, biomes, and recorded player activity.
• Runa the Grower: Place one per player per world from Hammer → Misc and assign a chest for seeds, crops and honey. She tends cultivated ground and your beehives within 20 meters of her home, planting tight rows with room for crops to grow. Choose Auto farm, Auto plant, or Manual with Work now. She walks between jobs, uses accessible gates, and roams and sits when idle.
• Snikk the Gossip: A visiting Fuling who shares gossip based on recorded player activity. Disabled by default.

Controls

Tap G while aiming at an enemy or resource to order an attack or assign work. Hold G for 1.5 seconds to open the command menu.

Press E on a companion to switch between following and holding position. Hold E for 2 seconds to send them back to the banner.

Press E on Runa for one menu with her name, farming mode, crop settings and all actions. Edit her name directly; leave it blank to restore Runa the Grower. Save all applies the name, mode and crop settings together. To assign storage, choose Assign a chest, walk to the chest, then look at it and press E. Auto farm harvests and plants; Auto plant only plants; Manual works when you select Work now.

Each crop row has its own Plant seeds and Plant vegetables checkboxes and quantities to keep in the chest. Runa plants only the surplus for checked types in that crop's row. 0 allows all stock to be planted; an unchecked box stops that planting type for that crop. Defaults keep 20 vegetables and 0 seeds, with seed planting enabled and vegetable planting disabled.

Runa cannot take damage or be targeted by mobs. Removing and placing her again preserves her name and farming settings. Her selected chest must still be within 20 meters of her new home; assign another chest if you move farther away.

Known Issues

Mercenaries may not work properly in the Ashlands. Live multiplayer behavior with Jotunn 2.30.0 has not been fully verified.
