An attempt at making the boats sail more like a Laser; I pulled speed points off of https://dinghyracingtips.com/blog/what-is-the-fastest-point-of-sail/ to represent the forward force on the ship, which isn't perfect as it should be speed and not force, but it gets the boats to be a bunch more fun.
The wind is also forced to come from either the left or right of the map (eventually) which makes sailing more fun because it doesn't keep shifting to be a head wind
The HUD only turns fully white when sailing at the fastest possible (strongest wind, at a broad reach) but future updates will make it turn white if you're going a reasonable speed. Ideally I'll find a way to add ticklers to the sails and hid the HUD
If i get time, I'm going to try add sailing by the lee
