ControllerGamepadRemapping

Remap your controller inputs via the mod menu (F8) beyond the game's limitations while dynamically matching the button glyphs and gamepad UI.

Features

  • Remap controller actions via the mod's menu by pressing F8 (preferrably in the pause screen, otherwise the mouse movement will interfere).
  • Manually choose one of the many gamepad UI's and button glyphs that Valheim already supports.
  • Configure Alternate Function combinations.
  • Allows actions such as Alt Function + another controller input.
  • Supports re-binding (or even unbinding) actions that normally conflict with shared controller buttons.
  • Compact in-game configuration interface (F8).
  • Designed to work with Valheim's existing controller input system.

Installation

Thunderstore / r2modman

Install the mod using your preferred Thunderstore-compatible mod manager.

Manual installation

  1. Install BepInEx for Valheim.
  2. Extract the .zip and place its plugins folder inside the steamapps/common/Valheim/BepInEx/ folder path.
  3. Start Valheim.

Configuration

Controller bindings can be configured through the mod's in-game interface by pressing F8 (preferrably in the pause screen, otherwise the mouse movement will interfere).

Compatibility

Client-side Valheim mod using BepInEx.

Notes

Steam Input can modify or replace controller inputs before Valheim receives them. If a physical controller button is detected as a different button, check your Steam Input layout as well.

Issues

When reporting an input problem, please include:

  • The controller model
  • The affected binding
  • Whether Steam Input is enabled
  • Your BepInEx LogOutput.log
