Adventure Backpacks HD

A graphics-only fork of Adventure Backpacks by Vapok — one of the best quality-of-life mods in Valheim. Vapok’s original mod is exceptional: thoughtful progression, deep configuration, rock-solid compatibility, and a backpack for every biome. All credit for design, gameplay, balance, recipes, effects, and the API belongs to Vapok. This package only upgrades how selected packs look in-game.

What this fork changes

Higher-fidelity meshes and textures for the Rugged Backpack (Black Forest) and Arctic Sherpa Pack (Mountains), plus enabled HD assets where the base project already had them. No gameplay changes — same mod ID, configs, and saves.

Install (important)

Do not run this alongside the original Thunderstore package. Remove Vapok-AdventureBackpacks first, then install this package. Client and dedicated server need the same DLL.

Requires BepInEx, Jotunn, and YamlDotNet (listed as dependencies).

Size note

The plugin DLL embeds HD asset bundles (~100 MB). That is expected for a drop-in replacement; no separate bundle files are needed.
