ODINFLIGHT (Updated for Valheim 0.221.x)

ODINFLIGHT adds craftable Odin Wings to Valheim — equip them and take to the skies. Run, jump, and flap your wings to fly. Wind, altitude, biome and wet wings all affect your flight, so gliding stays immersive and survival-friendly rather than a creative-mode cheat.

What this package is

The February 2026 "Five Years of Valheim" patch (0.221.10) upgraded the game's Unity engine, which broke BepInEx and with it every mod. This package is the original ODINFLIGHT v2.1 verified against the current game assemblies (all API references and all Harmony patch targets check out) and repackaged for the current BepInEx pack. No gameplay changes from v2.1.

Installation

Mod manager (recommended)

Install with r2modman / Thunderstore Mod Manager / Gale. The required BepInEx pack (denikson-BepInExPack_Valheim) is installed automatically as a dependency.

Manual

Install BepInExPack Valheim 5.4.2333 or newer (older packs do not work after the Feb 2026 engine upgrade).
Drop Odinflight.dll into Valheim/BepInEx/plugins/.
Launch the game once — the config file appears at BepInEx/config/pfhoenix.odinflight.cfg.

Configuration

All settings live in BepInEx/config/pfhoenix.odinflight.cfg: crafting station and recipe, flap stamina cost, wet-wing cost multiplier, maximum lift altitude, immersive camera mode, and more.

Known notes

The wings asset bundle was built on Unity 2019.4. It loads fine on the current engine; if you ever see pink/invisible wings after a future game update, report it — that would mean the bundle's shader needs a rebuild.
