Better Organisation
Give chests item categories, then stash your whole inventory with one key. Sort, search, favourites, chest finder. Client side.Better Organisation
Tell each chest what belongs in it, then put your whole inventory away with one key.
- Categories – every item, modded ones included, is sorted into categories automatically.
- Link chests – open a chest, press Categories, tick what it should hold. Detect sets it up from its contents.
- Stash (
H) – sends your inventory to the right nearby chests. Priorities decide which fills first; full chests overflow to the next. - Deposit / Sort – buttons on every chest.

Alt+click a stack to keep it out of stashing and sorting. The tag follows the stack. - Search – type in an open chest (
Ctrl+F) to fade out everything else. - Chest list (
K) – all nearby chests, and which one holds the item you are looking for. Open or edit them from there. - Labels – name your chests.
- Reorganize (off by default) – moves misplaced items to the right chest.
Client side. Works in multiplayer, on vanilla servers, and next to players without the mod. Chest setups are saved in the world and shared.
Compatible with MultiUserChest, EquipmentAndQuickSlots, AzuExtendedPlayerInventory and AzuAutoStore.
Setup
Keys and options: BepInEx/config/com.chestcategories.valheim.cfg.
Your own categories: BepInEx/config/ChestCategories.categories.cfg (explained inside the file).
Console: cc_dump lists every category and its items.
