Features

  • TRINKET AND BINDINGS UPDATE: Now you can toggle the axes in the trinket selector. There are normal axes, and the binding for Mending axes.
  • MENDING AXES: Regenerating axes with less durability but can be used infinitely.
  • FREE AXES: Infinate green axes which you can climb with indefinetly.
  • Normal Axe: Revised These axes no longer regenerate. They have more durability but when they break, they stay broken.
  • Vending machines and Terminals Now you can find normal axes in vending machines. And Mending axes in terminals.
  • Starts in your inventory — a pair of climbing axes at the beginning of every run
  • Lodge anywhere: swing into any static surface to plant the pick and grip it
  • Voluntary release: whiff-swing with the same hand to dislodge
  • Jump to detach: jumping off a lodge returns both axes to hand cleanly
  • Durability 30 per axe: each successful lodge spends 1 durability on release. The mesh visibly darkens as durability drops.
  • Hit feedback: randomized impact sounds at the wall, distinct break sound, slight camera shake on landed swings
  • Lighter than a hammer: 1/3 the weight, so carrying two still costs less encumbrance than a vanilla hammer
  • Console Support: You can find the axes with the item "cici" prefix in the console.

How to use

The axes spawn in your inventory at run start. Equip both hands and start climbing:

  1. Swing the first axe at a wall — it lodges and your hand grips
  2. Swing the other axe higher up — it lodges, and the first auto-releases
  3. Repeat. Whiff-swing to drop on purpose. Jump to detach cleanly.
