Arthur's Commando Tweaks

Notice

This is the first Risk of Rain 2 Mod I've made, so if there are bugs or issues, dont be too surprised.

This mod is heavily inspired by HIFU's Commando Tweaks, and to be honest a lot of the changes mirror the changes by that mod. But that mod isnt updated anymore.

Objective

The objective of this mod and all my future tweak mods is to bring the survivor inline with the rest of the game, tweak abilities to add choice between them or make adjustments so that they are (in my opinion) more fun to play.

The tweaks I make are still dominated by "rule of cool", and are mostly focused on keeping the survivor fun to play as well as being balanced.

Commando

The goal of Commando's tweaks was to give more variety to the ability choices you can take. Supressive Fire is just better than Frag Grenade and Tactical Slide is a strict upgrade to Tactical Dive.

I'll probably update the mod buffing Tactical Slide, Phase Blast and Supressive Fire, but for now, the changes are to buff the overshadowed abilities.

Secondary:

Phase Round

  • Damage 300% --> 360%.
    • Increases the consistency of Phase Round, as now it will proc bands if it pierces one enemy and hits another.

Utility:

Tactical Dive

  • Grants 200 Armor while rolling.
    • I Kinda ""borrowed"" this idea from HIFU's mod, I knew I wanted Tactical Dive to be more useful, and this is what I did.

Special:

Frag Grenade

  • Damage 700% --> 600%.
    • Ive made the grenade much more consistent, so it does less damage.
  • Damage Falloff Linear --> None.
  • Now Ingites when it explodes.
  • Explodes instantly when hitting an enemy.

Frag Grenades igniting and having no damage falloff makes them a good burst AoE option for Commando, they can also be used much much more easily with the explosion on enemy contact. Just chuck it at an enemy and you're good to go.
