Gentlemen's Mutators

A new rule every round for A Gentlemen's Dispute, built on the game's official mod loader.

Everyone in the lobby needs the same version installed.

How it works

At the start of every round the host rolls one round mutator, never the same one twice in a row. A banner announces it, and a badge at the top of the screen shows it for the rest of the round.

• Glass Cannon: every hit does 2.5x damage.
• Vampires: heal for half the damage you deal.
• Speed Demons: everyone runs 1.6x faster.
• Moon Gravity: gravity drops to 40%.
• Happy Hour: everyone is drunk.
• Specialists: everyone holds the Specialist card for the round, so your first pickup is the only item you get.
• Explosive Exits: the fallen explode shortly after they die.

Turn it on in Mod Settings: mutators are off until the host switches on Round mutators (the game's Mods menu, SETTINGS on this mod's row; the host's setting counts for the whole lobby). Without Gentlemen's Mod Settings they are always on.

Manual install

1. Close the game.
2. Download this package (Manual Download) and unzip it anywhere.
3. Open the game's folder: in Steam, right-click A Gentlemen's Dispute > Manage > Browse local files.
4. Open the Mods folder there (create it if it is missing).
5. Copy the GentlemensMutators folder from the zip into Mods, so you end up with Mods\GentlemensMutators\mod.json. Copy the whole folder, not just what is inside it; the other files in the zip (manifest.json, README.md, icon.png) are not needed.
6. Start the game. The mod is loaded automatically.

• Updating: delete the old Mods\GentlemensMutators folder first, then copy in the new one.
• Uninstalling: delete Mods\GentlemensMutators.

Don't edit or add files inside the mod folder: the game checks the mod's files, and a changed folder will not match other players in a lobby.

Notes

• The mutators run on the host. Damage, healing, the Specialist cards and the explosions all happen there and reach every player through the game itself.
