README

First Hammer

Choose the guaranteed first Daedalus Hammer for each weapon aspect.

Part of the Speedrun modpack.

What It Does

First Hammer lets you pre-select the first hammer you will see for each weapon aspect.

Instead of taking a random first hammer, you can assign a specific opener to every aspect in the game. Leaving an aspect on None (Random) preserves the normal vanilla behavior for that aspect.

Current Coverage

The module provides a separate first-hammer selection for every aspect across the full weapon roster.

UI layout is grouped by weapon, then by aspect, so you can configure:

  • Staff aspects
  • Blades aspects
  • Axe aspects
  • Torch aspects
  • Skull aspects
  • Coat aspects

Use it when you want reliable first-hammer routing without changing later hammer behavior.

Installation

Install via r2modman.

This module is usually installed as part of the full Speedrun modpack, where it appears in the shared Speedrun UI with the other speedrun-focused modules.
