Adds Messages in a Bottle that float at sea. They hold procedurally generated treasure maps, crowd-sourced notes, random bait and more!Buried Treasures
Message in a Bottle(s) randomly spawn at sea, filled with custom-made content and mechanics.
If you see a glowing bottle floating in the ocean, shoot it! Maybe it's a note, maybe it's a treasure map, maybe it's something else entirely.
What's Inside a Bottle? - Drops are Random
- Proceduraly generated Treasure Maps.
- Crowd sourced Notes.
- Random Bait (Only already unlocked bait).
- Money (an amount multiplied by the number of islands you've unlocked, or a single euro).
- Spawns Mini Bosses.
- Random vanilla purchasables items.
Treasure Maps
- X marks the spot. We dig for treasure the same way we catch fish. With bullets.
- Whats buried is random. If its a Treasure Chests, their rewards are balanced with your game's progression.
- Since its all random, there is a chance the treasure rolls to ANOTHER treasure map, or a Mini Boss..
Messages
- Players can submit bottled notes anonymously. Cast your daily Memos for BuriedTreasures. You can cast a limited number of messages in a bottle per day and track it's views.
How to Install
- Download a mod manager: Thunderstore Mod Manager or Gale.
- In Thunderstore, select the game How-To-Fish (make a profile, or use Default).
- Click Get mods → search BuriedTreasures → Download OR just Install BuriedTreasures from here.
- Click ▶ Modded to play!
Multiplayer: everyone in the lobby also needs the mod installed.
