Changelog

1.3.9 - Loot Tables

  • NEW: Bottles can now drop random bait, a mini boss, or money (an amount multiplied by the number of islands you've unlocked, or a single euro).
  • NEW: Bottles can hold a small drip fish, and treasure chests any drip fish, with the game's drip-catch alert. Feed it to a slot machine!
  • NEW: Bottles, treasure chests and buried treasure each roll from their own weighted loot table, for more variety.
  • NEW: Buried treasure is rolled when it's dug up, so a treasure map can lead to another treasure map.
  • NEW: Bottles slowly drift toward you.
  • Fixed: Treasure maps draw the coastlines of islands 3-5 again (v1.1.1 moved those islands).
  • Fixed: Uninstalling the mod no longer breaks your save.

1.2.7 - Player-Submitted Messages in a Bottle

  • NEW: Players can now submit/cast their own Messages in a Bottle.
  • Changed: Bottle drops are 100% host-authoritative.
  • Changed: a bottle's Memo (note or treasure map) is now decided when it's first picked up, not when the bottle breaks.
  • Changed: treasure chests now adjust their max hp when players join/leave or islands unlock.
  • Changed: rebalanced treasure rarity (9% chance).
  • Fixed: joining a different host no longer carries over the last world's treasure, map or coastline.
  • Fixed: treasure maps for custom islands show the land even if you joined after the host sailed there.
  • Fixed: deleting a world now also deletes its buried treasure, so a new world with the same name starts clean.
  • Fixed: loose notes no longer fill up the world save and push treasure maps out of it.

1.1.6 - Game 1.1.1 Compatibility Patch

  • Fixed: treasure chests pop with the correct currency (since the introduction of Euros).
  • Changed: rebalanced treasure reward.
  • Changed: rebalanced message-in-a-bottle loot: messages are now more likely to appear.
