A QOL-focused modpack for How To Fish, aimed at improving overall gameplay experience without changing the core game.
What's Included
- Dynamic Crosshair — marks where your gun is actually pointing and traces its live spread cone, including bullet drop and muzzle parallax (client-side)
- Boss Timer — shows the exact synchronized time remaining before the active boss leaves, via a native-style HUD
- Boss HP — shows the active boss's exact synchronized HP beside the native health bar, with matching damage-shake animation
- Mod Menu — settings-only native Mod Settings menu with automatic BepInEx plugin discovery and validated configuration controls
- Fish HP — shows the last locally damaged non-boss creature's synchronized HP and native-style health bar, with official boss-bar damage shake behavior
- Stackable Items — lets the same item stack into one inventory slot (up to 100 per slot, 64 by default), with items individually tracked so stacked items can retain different properties
- HTFSlide — adds sliding, a sprint toggle, and momentum-based launches when you slide off a ledge or jump mid-slide (client-side, only affects your own character)
- SeaLegs — see your own body in first person (legs, torso, arms, and whatever you're holding) instead of just floating hands (client-side)
- Fishydex — client-side QOL mod that shows which lure catches a specific fish (bosses like the larva whale won't show a lure since they can't be caught with one)
- StickyItems — makes dropped items and fish persist when you leave the area
- AmmoCount — shows your current and total bullet count for each weapon
- ModUpdateChecker — checks your installed mods against their latest Thunderstore versions and flags which ones have updates available (read-only, doesn't auto-update anything)
Installation
- Install Thunderstore Mod Manager or r2modman
- Search for Enhanced HowToFish and install
- Launch How To Fish through the mod manager
