MoonWakeUp
Adds the Moonlight weather: a giant awakened moon whose eyes hunt players with spotlights.Moon WakeUp
The moon is awake — and it is looking for you.
Moon WakeUp adds a brand-new weather to Lethal Company: Moonlight. When it rolls on a moon, the level is plunged into permanent night and a giant awakened moon rises over the horizon, sweeping the ground with its eye spotlights. Stay in the beam and it gets suspicious. Get hunted, and it drags you up to the sky and pops you.

Features
Moonlight weather
A fully registered weather driven by WeatherRegistry. On any moon with Moonlight the level turns to night, the sky fills with stars, a soft blue moonlight keeps the ground readable, and a fog layer keeps the beams visible in the air. All numbers are configurable.
The Awakened Moon
The moon is a networked predator, and its logic runs on the host so every client sees the same beam in the same place.
- States: Patrol → Suspicious → Chase → Search, plus Investigate (noise), Hunt and Execute.
- Beam colors: pale yellow while patrolling, orange while suspicious/searching, red while chasing.
- Line of sight matters: a player fully behind geometry is never detected, so buildings, rocks and the ship hull are real cover.
- Noise: talking and loud sounds make the moon turn toward the source.
- Blinking: the beams cut out every so often — a window to move.
- Orbit: the moon circles the level over the day, and the changing angle changes what actually blocks its view.
The Hunt & the Execution
Beam damage never kills you outright — it stops at a low health threshold. That is when the hunt begins. If the moon catches you outside, it holds you facing it, lifts you into the sky and blows you up in a spectacle everyone on the team can watch: body, detached head and chunks of meat rain down with blood near the survivors.
Marie — the reward
Moonlight spawns Marie, a collectible with a camera-locked quick-time event. Hit every key in the ring and you keep her; miss one, press early or run out of time, and the moon executes you on the spot. Grabbing a second Marie triggers a sweep: the beam turns orange, plays a warning, and patrols a fixed route while cyan circles on the ground protect you from the beam.
Night visuals & audio
A dedicated night controller, a starfield, atmospheric fog, procedural ambience and a looping execution track (wakeup-mod1.mp3) bundled with the mod.

Installation
Install with a mod manager such as r2modman or Thunderstore Mod Manager (recommended), or manually:
- Make sure the dependencies below are installed.
- Drop
BakaMODs.MoonWakeUp.dlland the asset/audio files (moonassets,marieassets,wakeup-mod1.mp3,boss-attack-charge-384924.mp3) intoBepInEx/plugins/BakaMODs-MoonWakeUp/. - Launch the game. Everyone in the lobby needs the same version.

Configuration
The mod generates a config file (editable in-game with a mod manager or in BepInEx/config/). Everything is tunable — rough numbers, not exact lists:
| Section | Highlights |
|---|---|
[Moonlight Settings] |
Ambient volume |
[Marie] |
Spawn count and min/max scrap value |
[Moon AI] |
Beam speeds, suspicion time, lose-sight time, search time, damage/sec, blink interval, noise threshold/range |
[Visual] |
Spotlight intensity, volumetric dimmer, patrol/chase cone angles, moon light and fill, eye/mouth glow, moonlight, fog distance, star brightness |
[Execution] |
Prey health threshold, hunt speed/cone, capture time, grab/rise timing, gib count and scatter |
[Debug] |
Optional developer tools (off by default, see below) |
Developer tools (off by default)
The development hotkeys are disabled unless you turn on [Debug] Enable Debug Tools. When enabled: F8 forces Moonlight on the current moon, F9 sets your health to the prey threshold, F10 opens the Marie pose editor and Shift+F10 toggles a local Marie locator. Leave the toggle off for normal play.
Multiplayer notes
- The moon AI, hunting, execution and Marie spawning are host-authoritative; clients receive the results.
- Weather is synced through WeatherRegistry, so every player sees Moonlight when the host picked it.
- Mid-round weather changes made with the debug key apply the moon immediately but the night/ambience effects only fully apply on the next landing.
