If it seems broken you might need to delete and redownload. You can also disable the "degraded" mods from the list on the mod launcher, and it should run.
If you are having random issues getting friends versions to work you can hit the share button near the profile name in the mod manager and it will generate a code. For whatever reason using this code works everytime a couple people cannot seem to load in.
