What is this
A fun modpack that i made for me and my friends. I tend to update & change it every now and then to keep it interesting and unpredictable for them.
What is in it
- 21 new moons (10 free ones and 11 paid), some having unique hazards and mechanics or even visual effects
- 3 new interior enemies and 2 new outside enemies (one being the returning Kidnapper Fox, who got nerfed and no longer enters the ship)
- 9 new interiors with two of them being exclusive to their own single moon
- The hotbar can be upgraded twice up to 6 slots total, giving more room for equipment or carrying more scrap, the choice is yours
- Most of the vanilla equipment have been improved in their usability to make them actually worthwhile, works great with having more slots
- Moon selection starts small and expands after each successful quota, giving less wiggle-room to avoid bad weather, paid moons sometimes are on sale too
- Moon prices, number of scraps spawning, enemy counts and interior spawn chances have all been carefully tweaked and rebalanced
- After every 1000 credits milestone reached in a quota you gain an additional day up to 7 days total
- A whole bunch of fixes & tweaks to the vanilla game (too many to name, here's a tip for a very useful one: Try SCAN on the PC while in orbit!)
- A handful of fun emotes like clapping, showing the stinky finger or even writing on a sign
- Random assortment of cosmetics, most of which are videogame-themed
What is the goal
To be completely honest, there isn't any. I guess having all the moons unlocked in the moon list could be considered an end goal?
Making it through the 10th quota is a popular speedrunning category. I configured the modpack in a way so it takes exactly ten qoutas to unlock the entire moon selection.
Why are all the notes from the Coroner mod in german
We are a german group and i wanted some funny lines which worked better in our native language.
If you want the english ones, please locate the config file com.elitemastereric.coroner.cfg in in your config folder and change LanguagePicker from de to en-us
Known Issues
I have spend a good bit testing and playing with my friends (though most of it was the version 1.0.1) and i haven't encountered many gamebreaking bugs or glitches.
However there are a few minor things that i don't know how to fix or if they're even issues in the first place:
- Sometimes it can take REALLY long for enemies to spawn inside a dungeon (i think it has something to do with how modders set the spawning-curves which are hard-coded and can't be changed)
- Some moons don't really spawn many enemies outside even though i have set the spawn cap quite high (12-16 enemies) yet only very few actually spawn (i believe the reason is the same as above)
- Once my game crashed right when i clicked "Quit game" and somehow every scrap and equipment in the ship was lost when reloading the save file. It hasn't happened again yet so it might be just unlucky on my end
