ContentExpansion
another configured modpack for the gang. this one's less vanilla and with basicmods included. adds new monsters, items, and gameplay mechanics.ContentExpansion 1.1.0
Configured modpack adding extra content on top of the basicmods vanilla+ package. New monsters, items, and mechanics.
Noteworthy additions
- includes my basicmods modpack with a bunch of vanilla-like fixes and tweaks, see there for details: https://thunderstore.io/c/lethal-company/p/WeatheredScarecrow/Basicmods/
- added a gameplay mechanic for blinking. you have to blink occasionally and will do so periodically, but you can also blink manually with [C] to reset the timer. obviously, this will affect how you engage with monsters like coilheads.
- you can buy or find batteries to top your charge up. Install them into a held item with [X]
- you might receive hindering injuries when you take significant damage (Diversity)
- many new monsters including an assortment of SCPs and other such horrors
- monster corpses can be picked up, brought back to the ship and sold (SellBodiesFixed)
- maps with weather will have more valuable scrap (WeatherMultipliers)
- new scrap types
- tweaks to existing monster behaviours (Diversity, Mirage, SnatchinBracken, CoilheadStare)
During bug squashing, LethalLevelLoader and all dependencies have been removed for stability, so there are no new moons or interiors in this pack at present. However, that issue has since been resolved so I'm going to look at adding this back in the future.
Changelog
v1.1.0
Ongoing issue appears to be resolved, so I'm back to adding new content. I already started with basimods and a lot of changes were made. Many mods were removed, so I'd recommend a fresh modpack installation to ensure you don't keep unused mods. See the patch notes for basicmods 1.4.0 here: https://thunderstore.io/c/lethal-company/p/WeatheredScarecrow/Basicmods/
- reconfigured Battery - changed battery installation hotkey to [X] since the Zoom mod uses [Z] and isn't reconfigurable. Also reduced battery cost in shop.
- added EasterEggFixes - there's going to be enough shit actively trying to kill you, no need for eggs randomly ending your run. they can only pop when you throw them.
- added molesterlootbug_fork - lootbug became more grabby
- added emergency dice - scrap dice which have various effects when rolled... for better or worse New monsters have been added. They're gonna need testing
- added vilevendingmachine - Swap your scrap for delicious Company Cola! For the Company!
- added hallucinoceps
- added rollinggiant
- added men_stalker
- added SCP1507
- added SCP966
- added SCP_049
v1.0.3
Changes look promising so far, but I need to do more testing to ensure the issue with remaining days not updating is resolved.
- reconfigured Diversity - disabled some changes to maintain a closer-to-vanilla feel
v1.0.2
- removed a few mods that are no longer included in basicmods
- removed several mods with workable alternatives in a shotgun effort to increase stability - nuclearLib, Symbiosis, Skinwalkers, MaskedEnemyOverhaul, CSync, ImmersiveCompany, Arachnophilia
- added Diversity - some monster tweaks to replace Symbiosis and Arachnophilia, and adds an injury mechanic. TBD if this mechanic will remain enabled
- added Mirage - alternative overhaul for masked with skinwalker functionality
- added Permanent_Ladder - to replace functionality from ImmersiveCompany
- reconfigured immortal snail - reduced snail spawns
- reconfigured LethalLib - changed EnableItemSaveFix to true, should solve some issues i've seen in this pack
v1.0.1
- removed ExtraDaysToDeadline on suspicion of causing quota deadline to fail to update. If this fixes the issue maybe we can use LethalLevelLoader after all. (it didn't)
- reconfigured Skinwalkers to make doubly sure it's only affecting Masked monsters.
v1.0.0
First version on Thunderstore. Hello world.
- removed LethalLevelLoader and all of its dependents for stability.
- removed LCSoundtool to fix issue of boombox not working. appears to work fine now in my testing.
- removed dimmingflashlight - did not seem to work
- added fadingflashlight - hopefully works better
- removed fadingflashlight - does work better, but seems to be incompatible with reservedflashlightslot
- reconfigured sellbodiesfixed - sell values are significantly reduced
- reconfigured batteries - price and loot rarity
Known issues
- With 2+(?) players the days remaining can bug out. (this issue appears to be resolved)
- AlwaysActiveWalkie is kind of glitchy in swapping between radio and in-person voice. I tried playing with the config but I don't think I can fix this. The functionality of the mod is too good to pass up so just deal with it I guess lol.
Troubleshooting
- If the modpack updates and mods have been removed, your mod manager may not automatically delete them from your profile. You'll probably see mod mismatches if you try to play in multiplayer and you may encounter game breaking bugs. I'd recommend a fresh modpack installation to ensure you don't keep unused mods.
- It appears that having a large number of custom songs set up for discjockey demands a LOT of extra memory usage. You may experience crashes or slow load times. If affected, reduce the number of songs you put in the custom songs folder.
- There is a weird interaction between the boombox and (I suspect) the AlwaysHearActiveWalkie mods that has occurred in the past. I think as long as you keep dropped active walkies some distance away from the boombox there will be no issues. Hopefully.
