Devious Traps

A mod that adds 4 new traps that will brutalize you and your friends!

LRAD Cannon

LRAD Cannon

Also known as the sound turret, this massive device was placed by the company as a deterrent to unknown intruders.

If only they tuned down the horrible hearing loss, neurological damage, and visual distortions this turret inflicts on employees...

              

Flame Turret

Flame Turret

A slightly suspicious plate of metal turns into a spinning inferno of death.

I personally enjoy the 3rd degree burns this death machine provides.

This turret charges giant metal saw blades that bounce around.

Mouse Traps

How else do you keep the pests away?

Note that we also consider employees to be "pests"

There are 3 mouse trap sizes:

small traps - 12 dmg, latches onto the employee. A weapon is needed to pry them off

         

large traps - 36 dmg, a problem to employees but tolerable enough

    

GIANT traps - 100 dmg, while also including a little bait for people who aren't so bright

    

You can customize every trap property, including:

  • Oil Spill trap
  • Any trap idea that comes to mind (brainstorming)
  • Option for traps to spawn outdoors

  • Saw turrets will play a reload sound and have no visible saw while reloading.
  • Flame Turrets routinely release smoke out the top of the turret. This warns players in advance of their presence.
  • Spawnrates of Saw and Flame turrets adjusted to avoid crowding out vanilla LC traps.

  • Added visible bodies of the turrets on the terminal radar.
  • Added a projectile speed option for the saw turret.

  • Added mouse traps in 3 sizes, small, medium, and large.
  • small traps latch onto players, dealing 12 damage. Pry them off with a held weapon.
  • Large traps simply deal 36 damage.
  • Giant traps instakill, and have bait that you can attempt to pry off.
  • Getting the bait off can be done, but you have to be very careful.
  • Saw blades from saw turrets cut you in half at sufficient velocity.
  • Fixed a strange shading bug on the sound cannon that made it glow a bit.

  • Fixed a bug where mouse traps looked disabled after being hit but they actually aren't
  • Fixed a bug where mouse traps disabled via shovel would not be synchronized visually across clients.

  • Increased the default cooldown for releasing flame turret smoke to 20 seconds (buff).
  • Added the ability to tweak how hard it is to get the bait from a giant mouse trap.
  • Made the default hitbox for Giant Mouse Trap items less forgiving.

  • Saw turrets and sound turrets no longer snap to a target player's position.
  • Instead, they rotate at a fixed speed to find an opponent.
  • Rotation speeds for these turrets are adjustable in lethalconfig.

  • Saw turrets aim directly at the player if the player is within a 30 degree cone instead of missing (bugfix from 1.4.7)
  • Saw blades are less likely to get stuck in walls than before.
  • Saw blades are easier to push around.
