ElevatorSoundMod
Standalone BepInEx mod for Lethal Company v80 with a bundled elevator playlist, automatic shuffle, and no repeats until the playlist is exhausted.ElevatorSoundMod
Small standalone BepInEx mod for Lethal Company v80 that replaces the mineshaft elevator music with a bundled playlist.
Why this mod is standalone
This package intentionally avoids LCSoundTool and CustomSounds as runtime dependencies.
They are useful for generic sound packs, but for a focused elevator playlist this direct BepInEx + Harmony implementation is smaller, easier to audit, and simpler to ship.
Features
- Bundled playlist out of the box
- Automatic shuffle
- No repeats until the full playlist is exhausted
- Deterministic selection based on the shared round seed, so players with the same package hear the same chosen track
- Loads
.wav,.ogg, and.mp3 - Thunderstore-ready package output after build
Installation
- Install
BepInEx-BepInExPack5.4.2305or a compatible5.4.xpack for Lethal Company. - Install this package with Thunderstore/r2modman, or extract the zip into the game folder.
- Launch the game once so BepInEx loads the plugin and its bundled playlist.
Playlist folder
The packaged playlist lives here:
BepInEx/plugins/eryk-ElevatorSoundMod/Playlist
You can add as many tracks as you want in that folder or its subfolders, as long as they use one of these extensions:
.wav.ogg.mp3
The mod scans the playlist recursively, sorts files deterministically, and builds a shuffled queue from that list.
Multiplayer behavior
The track selection is deterministic instead of network-downloaded. That keeps the mod lightweight and automatic.
If every player has the same package contents, everyone hears the same track choice in the same order for that round. If one player changes the playlist locally, they should distribute the same updated package to the rest of the lobby.
Format guidance
- Use
.oggfor larger custom music files when you want smaller package size. - Use
.wavfor short effects or when you want the safest compatibility. - Use
.mp3only if that is the format you already have;.oggis usually the better packaged music format.
Legacy fallback
If the Playlist folder is empty, the plugin still supports a single legacy file placed next to the DLL:
elevator.wavelevator.oggelevator.mp3
