Auto Grab Climb performs PEAK's stamina-saving grab-release-regrab climbing technique for you. It keeps the tested vanilla climbing physics intact: the mod does not directly modify stamina, movement speed, or character forces.

How to Use

The mod starts disabled.

1. Press F7 once to enable Auto Grab Climb.
2. Approach the wall.
3. Hold Shift before starting the climb and keep holding it.
4. Hold W + Left Mouse Button.
5. Release any of those controls to stop the automatic cycle immediately.

Press F7 again to disable the mod. A short notification confirms the new state; the ON notification also reminds you of the controls.

Installation

Install with the Thunderstore Mod Manager or r2modman. The required BepInEx pack is included as a package dependency.

1. Install BepInEx 5 for PEAK.
2. Place AutoGrabClimb.dll in:

1. Remove any older test copy of AutoGrabClimb.dll elsewhere under BepInEx\plugins.

Important Notes

• Shift must already be held before the climb begins and must remain held throughout the climb.
• The mod never releases or re-presses Shift, so it does not intentionally generate a vanilla sprint input edge while climbing.
• Automatic grab-release is disabled while holding an item to avoid conflicts with item use and pickup controls.
• The mod does not intervene while rope climbing, vine climbing, passed out, or using the emote or backpack wheel.
• Falling back to normal climbing on an unsuitable overhang is expected behavior.
• A future PEAK update may require a rebuilt version if internal game interfaces change.

Troubleshooting

If F7 appears to do nothing:

1. Confirm BepInEx starts successfully.
2. Confirm the DLL is under PEAK\BepInEx\plugins and not in a separate folder beside BepInEx.
3. Remove duplicate or older copies of AutoGrabClimb.dll.
4. Check PEAK\BepInEx\LogOutput.log for Auto Grab Climb 1.0.1 loaded.
5. If your keyboard uses media keys by default, try Fn + F7 or change the function-key mode.
