The Mimic
⚠️ UNDER ACTIVE TESTING. Multiplayer is fully implemented and should work when everyone in the lobby has the mod, but it has not yet had a full live co-op session. Expect rough edges — if something is unexpectedly janky, please report it. Best played with 2+ players who all have the mod.
A FNAF-inspired animatronic enemy for R.E.P.O. It doesn't just chase you — it listens, then lures.

What it does
The Mimic is a physical animatronic that lurks in an isolated room and plays your friends' real, captured voices from its own body to draw a lone player in — then jumpscares and kills them (~100 damage, lethal). On a kill, it steals that player's skin and voice, relocates to a new isolated room, and repeats — now wearing your dead teammate's face.
- Real voice mimicry — captures each player's actual voice-chat audio in-memory and replays it, unprocessed, from the Mimic's body. Per-target fallback chain: their voice → their typed TTS-chat lines → another player's voice.
- Steals your face — on a kill (or by reaching any already-dead player's head) it copies that player's actual customized cosmetics (head/color/hat), not a generic stand-in.
- Lure-and-ambush AI — targets whoever is most isolated from the group, holds a room away, and draws them in with the stolen voice.
- The paradox — the dead head stays behind as a normal revivable death-head, so the corpse and the fake-wearing-their-face can exist at once.
- Counterplay — run, or shoot it from range. It's weapon-vulnerable but tanky (Huntsman-tough), and too heavy to tumble over. No cooldown — it relocates and restarts.

Notes
- Spawns at the vanilla rate/tier via level generation. Never spawns in a solo game (its whole point is mimicking your friends). Multiple Mimics can appear.
- Host-authoritative. Everyone in the lobby needs the mod installed.
- Built on the authentic FNAF: Security Breach — Ruin "Old Endo" model, animations, and audio.
Made with heavy use of AI. Feedback welcome while it's in testing.
