Logpack

Please view WARNINGS section before installing.

This is a Vanilla+ modpack and is intended to polish and expand upon existing Vanilla features/concepts. My intent is to keep a Vanilla feel. If you like Vanilla, you'll like this modpack!

Disclaimer: This modpack is intended for the Devotion patch (older version of the game). Don't update any mods, or it will break the game. This is because many mods in Logpack weren't maintained by their publishers, and do not work on the latest version of the game. (I personally don't care much for the Seekers patch as it is anyway.) There are many tutorials on YouTube on how to downpatch Risk of Rain 2 (easily reversible btw). Devotion Update patch = Version 2024_05_20

All credit for the included mods goes to their respective creators. I merely assembled them, and configured them to create a cohesive gaming experience (hopefully). Feel free to mess with the configs yourself!

Enjoy!

Features

These are the main features Logpack brings and the main mods it uses. (Many mods aren't named)

  • QOL
    • Generic visual polish (WolfoQualityOfLife)
    • Full in-run UI upgrade + custom real-time stats board (LookingGlass)
    • Photo mode for screenshots (PhotoMode)
    • Unlocked momentum, mainly for jump pads (UnlockMomentum)
    • Debugging tools (DebugToolkit)
    • More intuitive multiplayer "Ready" system (ReadyConfig)
    • In-lobby item blacklist menu (ItemBlacklist, LobbyVotesSave)
    • Opened chests are transparent (FadeEmptyChests)
    • Ability to input custom seed for runs (LobbySeed)
    • Faster interactables (Exchange_Changes)
  • Game balance
    • General game balance ((RiskyMod, LittleGameplayTweaks, EliteReworks) (only select changes enabled))
    • Overhauled most Vanilla Survivors (RiskyMod, HIFU[Survivor_Name]Tweaks for respective Survivors)
    • Drone overhaul (BetterDrones, RemoveAllyCap)
    • Lunar Coin overhaul (SimpleLunarCoins)
    • Revive feature in multiplayer (PillarRevive)
      • Simple and effective, and punishing enough too. Disable PillarRevive if you don't want revives.
    • Simulacrum overhaul (SimulacrumAdditions)
    • Some content was disabled to foster a more balanced experience, like Shrine of Order on Rallypoint Delta for example.
      • You can re-enable these in the "ContentDisabler" config or just disable the mod altogether (not recommended).
  • Extra content
    • Items ((ClassicItemsReturns, Aetherium, Starstorm2, VanillaVoid) (only select items enabled))
    • Stages ((ProceduralStages, Forgotten_Relics, FogboundLagoon, SunkenTombs, Catacombs) (only select stages enabled))
    • Survivors, bringing the total to 24, which all fit on 1 page (most of which are from their respective standalone mod)
      • A bunch of skins too
    • Monsters (most of which are from their respective standalone mod)
      • Unique Stage 4 boss on every Stage 4 Environment (think Alloy Worship Unit on Siren's Call)
    • Artifacts (limited testing on most) (WolfoArtifacts, Risky_Artifacts, ZetArtifacts)
      • If you're interested in using the "BiggerBazaar" mod, enable the "Artifact of the Bazaar" in the Artifact selection menu, and it will enable features from BiggerBazaar which I have carefully configured to provide a fun and relatively balanced boost to the Bazaar. (Tip: the longer you stay on a stage, the more costly the chests in the Bazaar will become!) (Yes, this Artifact makes the game easier by getting you more items. Use it with Artifacts which make the game harder for balance.)
    • Other stuff
  • Various bug fixes (too many mods to name lol)

Notes

  • Default and recommended difficulty: Inferno (Note: Eclipse is baseline Inferno instead of Monsoon)
    • Difficulty order (easier -> harder): Drizzle, Rainstorm, Monsoon, Typhoon, Inferno, Infernal Eclipse (I can't modify the order in-game)
      • I largely balanced the game around Inferno.
  • I strongly recommend completing 2 loops before going to the Moon (Moon on stage 11). This is because I have made very impactful changes to looping mechanics (including tons of content which is locked on 1st loop). Looping feels much better, and is less raindead. Farming money is now viable, rather than just B-lining to every chest, and hitting TP (I even recommend stacking Ghor's Tome to help. This is because the game assumes that you have stacked enough economy items by the 2nd loop). 10 stages before the final boss feels like an appropriate amount and makes certain items (like Gasoline for example) feel less ephemeral due to them being irrelevant against Mithrix (I would never print Gas on Stage 5 before going to Mithrix, and even Stage 4 would be iffy).
  • The debugging kit installed by default is "DebugToolkit". It seems to be the most commonly used one, thus I decided to include it. Good for debugging and nerdy in-game tests.
    • Known bug: Defense Nucleus will occasionally duplicate itself for an unknown reason. (Debug kit comes in handy)
  • If any content is locked, and you wish to unlock it instantly, feel free to install RealerCheatUnlocks (Install version 1.0.3 - later versions will break). When enabled, right-click content to lock or unlock it. For the full experience, I recommend playing with all the content.

WARNINGS

  • Uninstall "HuntressAutoaimFix" (without uninstalling "HIFUHuntressTweaks") because it is unnecessary as "RiskyMod" already makes makes these changes, and it could cause incompatibility issues to have both at the same time. (It gets installed because it's a dependency for "HIFUHuntressTweaks" and I have no control over it being installed along with it.)
  • Starting a run will reset your Lunar Coins to 1, because I use Coins as a per-run currency. (Yes, drop chance is increased by a lot.) Please take note of your current Lunar Coin amount before loading up the modpack if you intend on giving yourself back those Lunar Coins when not using the modpack. (It is very easy to give yourself Coins using the mod "Aerolt" and probably "DebugToolkit" too. The are also tutorials on YouTube on how to give yourself as many Coins as you want without even using mods. Coins are reset at the start of a run, so if you give yourself coins and end a run, those coins will save if you start a new run without this modpack, or the "SimpleLunarCoins" mod enabled.)
  • The modpack is intended for the Devotion patch. Don't update any mods, or it will break the game. (more in Logpack overview section)

Known issues

  • Defense Nucleus will occasionally duplicate itself for an unknown reason. (Debug kit comes in handy)
  • Teleporter on the Sunken Tombs map also drops a Potential - not a huge deal, you could just avoid the Potential if you choose to (caused by incompatibility between RiskyMod and SunkenTombs - cannot be fixed to my knowledge)
  • Unable to see full item description of Symbiotic Scorpion in-run (caused by incompatibility between LookingGlass and VoidScorpion - cannot be fixed to my knowledge)
  • Singularity Band item log description displays wrong stats (this is because ConfigurableVoidBand does not modify the item description, despite changes made to the item itself)
    • It should display 15 second cooldown and slight radius increase with each stack. Damage is the same.
  • Old Guillotine item log description displays wrong stats (same reason listed above, but with WhiteGuillotine)
    • It should display 8% (+8%).
  • Engineer's Toolbelt item log description lists unused second feature of the item.
    • It does not revive drones.
