Every boss fight is now a question: which version did we get?
Part of The Petrichor Protocol by Dileppy.
Teleporter and world bosses roll a mutation chance on spawn (25% base, +10% per loop, configurable). A mutated boss announces itself in chat - then plays by different rules.

Split children are half size with a quarter of the HP, and can never split again. Every mutation has its own toggle; pulse timing, burst damage, and split count are all configurable.
This mod is a 3-star modifier in the Protocol. Install PetrichorProtocol and it counts toward your run's Risk Score and reward multiplier.
Pairs naturally with EnemyMutations - mutated trash mobs AND mutated bosses means nothing on Petrichor V is ever what it seems.

Mutations are rolled by the host, so the host must run this mod. Singleplayer is the primary supported mode.
