Locater
Locater is a Risk of Rain 2 mod that adds globally visible indicators to Newt Altars, Shrines, Chests, and more. Easily find interactables on the stages.
Features
- Comprehensive Coverage: Shows markers for pretty much every useful interactable.
- Smart Marker Logic: Markers disappear when interactables are used up (e.g., Blood Shrine after 3 uses, Shrine of Chance after 2 successful uses)

Installation
- Install BepInExPack for Risk of Rain 2
- Download this mod and place the DLL and icon PNGs in your plugins folder
- Install Risk of Options for in-game config
Custom Icons
You can use your own icons for any marker! Just replace the PNG file with the exact same name in the mod folder (e.g., combat.png, chest.png, etc.).
- The image should be 150x150px for best results.
- Use a transparent background.
- Apply a black & white filter to the image. This allows the in-game color customization to work correctly.
Configuration
- All options are available in-game via Risk of Options
- Interactables Section: Toggle each marker type on/off
- Colors Section: Set custom colors for each marker type
- Positioning Section: Adjust Y offset and scale for all markers
Supported Interactables
- Newt Altar - Portal to Bazaar Between Time
- Shrines: Combat, Mountain, Blood, Chance, Order, Shaping, Halcyonite
- Void Cradle - Void items chest
- Teleporter - Stage exit
- Chests: White, Green, Red, Category, Stealth, Equipment Barrel, Lunar, Triple Shop, CasinoChest, Lockbox, LockboxVoid, FreeChestMultiShop
- Scrapper - Convert items to scrap
- 3D Printer - Duplicate items
Known Issues
- You may see harmless NullReferenceException log spam due to Unity prefab workaround. This does not affect gameplay or visuals.
