Acolyte Buffs & Passive — Test Build

Anima Harvester preview

Give Acolyte a little more sustain with Sacrifice healing and Lingering Anima, a capped extension to her Anima Harvester transformation.

Test build: Values are still being adjusted with further testing.

What's added

Addition Default effect
Sacrifice healing Successful normal-form R hits restore up to 5% max HP from existing recoverable health.
Lingering Anima Enemy kills in Anima Harvester form add 0.2 seconds, capped at 3 extra seconds per transformation.
Ability descriptions Updated Sacrifice, Dark Summons, and Litany hover text, plus a Lingering Anima information card with the Anima icon.

Sacrifice — a small heal on R

Landing Sacrifice in normal form turns some of your recoverable-health reserve into actual HP. It works on successful hits, including killing blows, without requiring an Anima transformation.

  • Restores up to 5% of maximum HP per successful hit.
  • Limited by your missing HP and available recoverable health.
  • An empty reserve means no bonus healing. It does not create a reserve for N'kuhana's Favor.
  • Adds to normal passive recovery; original damage and Conviction gains stay intact.

Example: with 1,000 max HP, a hit can restore up to 50 HP. If only 12 recoverable HP remain, it restores 12.

The bonus is a fixed reserve transfer. Healing items do not amplify it, and it does not trigger normal on-heal item effects or floating heal numbers. Healing Disabled prevents the transfer; Eclipse 5+ halves its allowance.

Lingering Anima — a capped passive bonus

While in Anima Harvester form, enemy kills credited to your player extend the transformation by 0.2 seconds each, up to 3 extra seconds total.

15 eligible kills earn the full bonus. Further kills cannot refill the allowance, even after the bonus time has elapsed. Each new transformation starts with a fresh allowance.

  • Extracted souls — the separate attackable spirits pulled from enemies — do not count.
  • Allied/neutral deaths and kills credited to drones or other minions do not count.
  • Item and damage-over-time kills count when credited to your player while transformed.
  • Anima Echo is unaffected. Manual return and death still end the transformation normally.

The bonus delays Conviction drain rather than adding charges, so the charge display may linger longer at its current count. The cap applies to the extra time added by this mod.

In-game descriptions

Sacrifice's description explains the added healing and reserve requirement. Dark Summons and the expanded Litany tooltip explain the timer extension.

Lingering Anima also appears as an informational passive card in Acolyte's character-select overview, using the Anima image above. It describes the existing bonus; it does not replace Favor or Grace or add another selectable ability.

Displayed values follow your local settings. Original skill text is retained, with the new explanations in English.

Configuration

Launch once to generate BepInEx/config/local.acolyte.sacrificeheal.cfg in your mod profile. Edit it through your mod manager's config editor or a text editor, then restart the game.

[Healing]
MaxHealthPercent = 5

[Anima]
Enabled = true
SecondsPerKill = 0.2
MaxBonusSeconds = 3

Set MaxHealthPercent to 0 to disable the extra R healing. Set Anima's Enabled to false to disable the timer extension. Time settings can be reduced; the total bonus cannot be configured above 3 seconds.

Optional debug settings LogHealing and LogAnimaExtensions record activations in BepInEx/LogOutput.log. Both are off by default.

Installation

Requires Risk of Rain 2 with access to Acolyte from Hallowed Concepts, plus the BepInEx dependencies listed on this package.

Install with r2modman or Thunderstore Mod Manager and launch modded. For a local test ZIP, use your manager's Import local mod option. Keep only one enabled version of this mod when updating.

For manual installation, place AcolyteSacrificeHeal.dll in your profile's BepInEx/plugins/AcolyteSacrificeHeal/ folder.

Compatibility

Multiplayer is unverified; use matching mod versions and settings. Other mods that change Acolyte's transformation or tooltips may interact with this mod.
