67 Leaf Clover
Tiny clover rework: gain +1 luck on pickup and another +1 every 5 level-ups after pickup. Extra copies multiply the bonus. Tested only in singleplayer; multiplayer is untested.67 Leaf Clover
A tiny rework of the 57 Leaf Clover: gain +1 luck on pickup, then another +1 luck for every 5 levels gained after picking it up.
This modifies and renames the existing item. It does not add a separate collectible, change its rarity, or replace its in-game model or icon.
How it works
| Levels gained since pickup | Luck from one clover |
|---|---|
| 0 | +1 |
| 5 | +2 |
| 10 | +3 |
| 15 | +4 |
Levels earned before pickup do not count. Extra copies share the first pickup's progress and multiply the bonus: two clovers grant +2 initially, +4 after five levels, and +6 after ten.
Losing every clover is designed to reset the counter. This removal/reacquisition case has not yet been verified in-game. The normal level cap still applies.
Testing and multiplayer
Tested only in singleplayer. Multiplayer is untested.
This is my first mod, and I haven't had anyone available to test multiplayer with yet. Feedback is welcome!
Singleplayer tests on RoR2 1.5.0 confirmed the starting bonus, counting from pickup, growth after large level increases, and stacking with extra copies. Multiplayer, reconnects, save/resume mods, and interactions with other clover/luck reworks are not verified.
Temporary item copies are not counted for the extra level-growth bonus. Normal vanilla luck contributions are retained.
Installation
Install through r2modman or Thunderstore Mod Manager with its dependencies, then launch modded.
If you previously installed the test DLL manually, remove that old Clover67 folder from the profile's BepInEx/plugins directory before installing this package, to avoid duplicate copies.
For manual installation, install the dependencies and copy the included plugins/Clover67 folder into BepInEx/plugins.
Aerolt and Visual Studio are not required to play with this mod.
Release notes
Package version 1.0.0 contains the unchanged, tested plugin build 0.1.2. The startup log and plugin/network version therefore still report 0.1.2. Diagnostic messages beginning with Clover67 TEST remain enabled in this first release and record progression and actual luck when those values change.
For an experimental multiplayer test, use the same package on every player's machine. Multiplayer compatibility is not promised.
