Design your own city in a planner that sends it straight to the game. Paint districts and let the game fill in the rest, or choose every building, facing and street yourself. Also loads city packs like Margin City.

Security camera lasers stay indoors: they stop at window glass (and stained glass) instead of shining out into the street. Only the beam changes; cameras detect exactly what they did before.

A hand-planned city: rich north, poor south, the Ledger at its centre. Downtown towers, the Commons, Chinatown, a Red Light strip, the Bricks and the Stacks, every street and district laid out on purpose.

Buy diners, cafés and bars from their owners. Real customers fill the till. Run stock and orders from the shop's cruncher or your home computer, and decorate the place. More kinds of business planned.

Clean up the city for cash: trash rounds, a trash bag and litter picker, and crime scene cleanup. Bag the body, scrub the blood, get paid. Optional quiet mode where the killers take a break.

Buy a crime scene permit or a private investigator's license at City Hall. Legal access to open murder cases, better odds of being let in, and public records for license holders.

Sit on anything the right height: crates, benches, low walls, desk edges, or a rooftop ledge with your legs over the drop. Pass time there with your watch, like on a chair.

Star Citizen-style throttle: scroll the mouse wheel to set your movement speed (20%-150%). Stacks with crouching, injuries and sync disks.

Lie down on the floor. Hold Crouch to get down low and look under desks, beds and dressers, or crawl slowly.

Climb and vault. Jump at a ledge and haul yourself onto dumpsters, crates, cars and vending machines, or vault over fences and railings.

Hold Z to squint: your view zooms in smoothly so you can read signs, study faces and case windows from a distance.
