Run Awards

When an adventure ends (a campaign quest or a roguelike run), Run Awards plays an awards show over the rewards screen. A drumroll highlight hops between your heroes, then the winner gets a fanfare, confetti and a star. Roasts get a sad trombone. The last award is always the Hero of the Adventure.

Click or press Space to move on, or Skip all >> to go straight to the rewards.

The awards

26 awards in three kinds:

  • Brags: Heavy Hitter (most damage), Slayer (most kills), Guardian Angel (most healing), One-Punch (biggest hit), Giant Slayer, Beastmaster, Untouchable, First Blood...
  • Roasts: Floor Inspector (knocked out the most), Punching Bag, Friendly Fire, Kill Stealer, Pacifist, Couch Potato...
  • Odd stats: Potion Addict, gold, items, critical hits, blocked damage, overkill, close calls, smashed barrels, reflected damage...

Each hero gets an award they won when possible. The rest are drawn at random, so no two shows are the same.

Multiplayer

Everyone should install it. The host counts most of the stats and sends them to the other players through ModNet (installed with this mod), so everyone sees the same show. If the host doesn't have Run Awards, the others still get a show from the stats the game shares itself: damage, healing, gold, items, knockouts and tiles walked.

Settings

Setting Default
Enabled on Track stats and play the show
Max Awards 8 3–15 awards before the Hero of the Adventure
Speed 1 0.5–3. 2 = twice as fast
Roasts on Include the joke awards
Odd Stats on Include the odd-stat awards
Volume 0.7 Drumroll and fanfares, on top of the game's sound effects volume
Preview Key Ctrl+Shift+A Play the show now with the stats so far (made-up numbers if there are none yet)
Log Stats off Write each adventure's stat table to the BepInEx log

The file is BepInEx\config\com.helvetica.runawards.cfg. With Mods Menu installed, the settings are also in Esc → Options → Mods.

Good to know

  • The sounds are made by the mod itself and follow the game's sound effects volume.
  • The mod's own counters (kills, misses, potions...) aren't saved: quitting in the middle of an adventure loses them. The stats the game keeps itself (damage, healing, gold, items) survive.
