BetterMap – SeneaL UI Compatibility

Integrates BetterMap's custom map pins with SeneaL UI's world map.

Features

• BetterMap category filters with pin counts.
• A second pin toolbar for placing BetterMap categories manually.
• SeneaL's own panel, button, hover and selection styling.
• Restores category assignments on recognizable old auto-pins whose numeric IDs shifted.
• Uses matching SeneaL icons where available and retains distinct BetterMap symbols, including the ore pickaxe.
• Preserves checked pins and marks manually placed pins so BetterMapCleanup can protect them.

Installation

Install on clients using BetterMap 1.1.0 and SeneaL UI 1.1.5. BepInExPack Valheim is required. This compatibility mod is not needed on dedicated servers.

BetterMapCleanup is optional; use 0.7.2 or newer if installed. Restart the game after updating.

If upgrading from a manually installed BetterMapSeneaLCompat test build, remove that old DLL before installing this package. The plugin ID and DLL filename remain unchanged; only the public package name changed.

Usage

Toggle resource categories in the additional filter row. Select an icon in the second toolbar, then double-click the map to name and save a pin. Select the category before opening the naming dialog.

Discovery rules belong to BetterMap. This mod does not recreate deleted or never-recorded pins and does not force disabled resources on.

Compatibility notes

Built and inspected against the dependency versions above. Some functionality has been tested in game during development; the latest toolbar styling still needs in-game confirmation. Other versions may change the UI internals used by this integration.

Build and package

build.ps1 -Install builds and installs locally. publish.ps1 -BuildOnly creates the Thunderstore ZIP; publish.ps1 additionally prompts for a token and publishes.
