DualSwords
22 dual-wielded swords based on blades from the vanilla game, the Deep North expansion, and the Valheim Armory mod. These swords utilize the combat system and animations of vanilla dual-wielded axes.DualSwords
If you’ve seen dual axes and wondered why there aren’t dual swords, then this mod is for you!
The mod adds 14 dual swords based on vanilla swords, as well as another 8 based on another mod (details below).

What it does
Each item is created based on two components already present in the game:
- Combat system and animations are copied from the vanilla
AxeBerzerkrobject (dual berserker axes), so the dual swords handle and feel in combat just like the dual axes. - Geometry (blade, hilt, icon) is taken from the corresponding one-handed sword.
The result is a fully functional pair of swords equipped as a single item.
The 22 items
- 8 Vanilla one-handed swords: Wood, Bronze, Iron, Silver, Black Metal, Mistwalker, Niedhogg, Dyrnwyn
- 3 Niedhogg elemental variants: Blood, Lightning, Nature
- 3 Deep North (Ashlands) gold branch: Gold, Gold Blood/Lightning, Gold Frost/Fire
- 8 Valheim Armory swords (optional, see below): Flint, Eikthyr, Abyssal, Elders Balance, Bonemass, Moders Grasp, Queen, Fader
Recipes and stats follow the vanilla one-handed sword they are built from: same crafting station and tier, resources doubled (unique materials such as trophies, boss drops and Eitr are not doubled), and the base damage is unchanged — dual-wielding is a tempo and animation upgrade, not a damage upgrade. Block power gets a small bonus on early tiers.
Weapon parameters can be configured.
Valheim Armory (optional)
Eight of the 22 items are built from swords added by the separate mod Valheim Armory. DualSwords does not require it: without Valheim Armory installed, those 8 items are skipped and the other 14 items build normally.
Install Valheim Armory if you want the full set of 22.
Requirements
- BepInExPack Valheim 5.4.2350
- Jotunn, the Valheim Library 2.30.0
- Valheim Armory, 1.15+ optional — see above
