StabilityBeams
Silver, Black Metal, Flametal and Bloodgold strapped beams and poles. Build them like vanilla pieces for stronger stability and health.Stability Beams
Adds higher-tier versions of the vanilla iron-strapped wood beam and pole, one for each metal progression step:
| Tier | Piece | Metal | Stability | Health |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Silver-strapped | Silver | x1.25 | x1.25 |
| 2 | Black Metal-strapped | Black Metal | x1.50 | x1.60 |
| 3 | Flametal-strapped | Flametal | x1.80 | x2.00 |
| 4 | Bloodgold-strapped | Bloodgold | x2.20 | x2.60 |
(Stability numbers scale the piece's maximum support and reduce support loss. Defaults shown; all configurable.)
How it works
- The new pieces appear in the hammer build menu next to the vanilla iron beams (straight beam, 26 / 45 / 67 degree beams, and pole).
- They are built and deconstructed like any vanilla piece: the cost is the vanilla recipe with the Iron swapped for the tier's metal, and deconstructing refunds everything.
- A piece becomes available once you have discovered its materials, like vanilla pieces.
- The metal parts of the model are recolored to match each metal.
Configuration
After the first launch, edit BepInEx/config/Aquatechnic.NewMetalBeams.cfg:
- Stability, health and cost multipliers for each tier
- Which vanilla pieces get variants (
BasePrefabs) - Metal colors and recolor detection settings
Stability multipliers are synced from the server and apply live. Recipes, health and the piece list need a restart.
Multiplayer
Everyone (and the server) needs this mod and the same version. Removing the mod deletes any placed pieces from this mod.
Known issues
- Models may look different with other texture or building mods installed.
- The angled-beam recoloring is tuned per game version; report anything that looks off.
