TitlesMod
Earn titles by fighting, exploring, building, crafting, bosses and levelling skills. Combine them into your own title, like Powerpuff Girl or Death's Gardener, for bonuses or purely cosmetic. PvP titles included. LGBTQ+ friendly. AI-generated.TitlesMod
The code was generated with AI assistance.
Earn titles as you play Valheim and build your own full title from them, like Moderslayer of the Mistlands or Lumberjack's Adept Runner the Undead. All equipped titles give their bonuses.
Building your title
A full title has five parts: prefix - word - main - word - suffix.
- Any title can go in any of the three spots. Some combinations make more sense than others, but that's up to you.
- A title can only be in one spot at a time, and tiers of the same ladder (like Dead and Lich, or Adept Runner and Master Runner) don't stack: equipping one removes the other.
- Connecting words between them, picked from a dropdown: (space), the, of, of the, from, from the, and, or, to, until, always, never, no, 's, er, ed, est, :, ;, ,, -, or (none), which joins the two into one word: Moder + Slayer = Moderslayer. The endings er, ed and est attach to the title before them: Poison + ed + Girl = Poisoned Girl. Server owners can change the list in the config.
Examples:
- Moderslayer of the Mistlands: Moder + (none) + Slayer + of the + Mistlands
- Lumberjack and Master Miner the Unbroken: Lumberjack + and + Master Miner + the + Unbroken
- Powerpuff Girl: Power + (none) + Puff + (space) + Girl

Achievements and mods: by default, Valheim does not give achievements while you play with mods, so the achievement titles will not unlock either. If you want achievements while modding, it is recommended to download a mod that enables achievements.
Identity titles
Cosmetic titles everyone has from the start, without bonuses, so you can show who you are: Straight, Gay, Lesbian, Bi, Pan, Ace, Aro, Demi, Queer, Questioning, Cis, Trans, Nonbinary, Enby, Genderfluid, Genderqueer, Agender, Intersex, Two-Spirit, Man, Woman, Boy, Girl, Ally. They combine freely with each other and with earned titles, e.g. Trans Woman, Bi Ally, Queer Moderslayer.

- Others: Kill, Seagull
- Every skill name (Swords, Wood Cutting, ...) and every skill title without its rank (Duelist, Runner, Assassin, ...)
Unbroken
While Unbroken is equipped, dying never lowers any skill (modded skills too) below the highest threshold (10, 25, 50, 75, 90, 100) it has reached. A skill at 62 stays at 50 or more, one at 31 stays at 25 or more. Skills below 10 lose levels as usual.
Skill threshold titles
Every vanilla skill has six threshold titles: Novice (10), Apprentice (25), Adept (50), Veteran (75), Master (90) and Legendary (100). While one is equipped, dying never lowers that skill below its level. Other skills still lose levels as usual. Threshold titles never add levels to the skill itself.
Each skill also gives a fitting perk that grows with the tier (Legendary = 6x Novice):
| Skill (title) | Perk per tier | Skill (title) | Perk per tier | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Swords (Duelist) | +2% stamina regen | Run (Runner) | -3% run stamina, +5 carry weight | |
| Knives (Assassin) | +10% sneak attack damage | Jump (Leaper) | -4% jump stamina, -5% fall damage (Legendary: -40%, -50%) | |
| Clubs (Bonebreaker) | +1 armor | Sneak (Shadow) | -4% sneak stamina | |
| Polearms (Halberdier) | +3 max health | Swim (Swimmer) | -4% swim stamina | |
| Spears (Lancer) | +3 max stamina | Dodge (Evader) | -3% dodge stamina | |
| Axes (Reaver) | +1 armor | Ride (Rider) | +2 max stamina | |
| Bows (Archer) | +2% stamina regen | Fishing (Angler) | +2% stamina regen | |
| Crossbows (Arbalist) | +5% reload speed | Cooking (Cook) | 5% chance of an extra cooked item | |
| Unarmed (Brawler) | +10% stagger | Farming (Farmer) | 5% chance of extra crops | |
| Blocking (Bulwark) | -3% block stamina | Crafting (Artisan) | +10 carry weight | |
| Elemental Magic (Elementalist) | +3% Eitr regen | Pickaxes (Miner) | +4% mining damage | |
| Blood Magic (Bloodbinder) | -5% spell health cost, +2 max Eitr | Wood Cutting (Woodcutter) | +4% chop damage |
The titles window shows the tiers you earned plus only the next one for each skill.
- Press Shift+F9 to open the titles window. Every earned title has Prefix, Main and Suffix buttons. The two dropdowns at the top pick the connecting words, and the Show button switches between all, earned and cosmetic titles. The search box finds titles by name, description or bonus (e.g. "runner", "stamina").
- Other players see your full title under your name, and your chat messages are sent with your title in front: Xav: [Moderslayer of the Mistlands] hello. Everyone sees it, even players without this mod.
- Pick your own title colour with the Colour button in the titles window. Players with this mod see your title in that colour on your name tag, in chat and above your head (players without the mod see it uncoloured).
- Progress is saved on your character, so it follows you to every world and server.
- Gathering counts items you pick up from the world. Picking up items that someone dropped, or that fell out of a broken chest, does not count.
- A kill counts if you hit the creature within 60 seconds before it died, so everyone who helps with a boss gets credit.
For server owners
Server titles: Admin, Owner, Donor, VIP, Super VIP, Mega VIP, Fan, Guest, Visitor can only be given by the server
owner or an admin (needs devcommands):

Synced settings: when the server runs this mod, its BonusMultiplier, KillCreditSeconds and ConnectorWords
are used by every player (players can't override them). Install the mod on the dedicated server for this.
LoadDefaultTitles and the visual settings (hotkey, name tag and chat format) stay per player.

Feedback
Bug reports and balance feedback are very welcome!
For mod authors
Any mod can add its own titles, or add bonuses for its own skills to existing titles.
- Reference
TitlesMod.dllin your project (the XML docs ship next to it). - Add
[BepInDependency("com.yourname.titlesmod")]to your plugin class. - Call the API from your plugin's
Awake():
using TitlesMod;
// A new title with your own requirement and a bonus for your own skill.

You can also subclass TitleRequirement, grant a title directly with TitleAPI.Unlock(id), and listen to TitleAPI.OnTitleUnlocked / TitleAPI.OnTitleEquipped / TitleAPI.OnSlotChanged. TitleAPI.GetSkillBonus(skill) and TitleAPI.GetSkillFloor(skill) return what the equipped titles currently give. TitleAPI.GetEquippedTitle() without a slot returns the title in the middle spot. (TitleKind, AsEpithet() and SetKind() from older versions still compile but no longer limit where a title goes.)
The bonus is applied in Skills.GetSkillLevel, the same method every skill check uses, so your skill gets the bonus without any extra patch on your side.
Optional dependency
If your mod should also work without TitlesMod, use [BepInDependency("com.yourname.titlesmod", BepInDependency.DependencyFlags.SoftDependency)] and keep every TitlesMod call in a separate class, called only when Chainloader.PluginInfos.ContainsKey("com.yourname.titlesmod") is true. That way your mod never loads TitlesMod types when it is missing.
