🖼️ Balrond Painting Frame

Overview

This mod adds customizable painting frames to Valheim that allow players to display and fully adjust images in-game.

Pictures in painting frame are collection of artwork by Mats Minnhagen, one of the creators behind Valheim.

You can change the image, zoom in/out, and reposition it inside the frame, giving full control over how your painting looks.

• Adds buildable painting frames (small, medium, large)
• Allows players to cycle through multiple images
• Enables advanced editing mode:
  • Zoom image
  • Move image inside frame
• Syncs everything in multiplayer using ZDO
• Includes edit locking system (only one player edits at a time)

🎮 How to Use

Normal Mode

• Use (E) → Next image\
• Shift + Use → Previous image\
• Alt + Use → Reset to default\
• Ctrl + Use → Enter edit mode

🖌️ Edit Mode

• Ctrl + Use → Save and exit\
• Esc → Cancel changes\
• + / - → Zoom image\
• Arrow Keys → Move image\
• R → Reset zoom & position

Only one player can edit at a time.

🔧 Installation

1. Install BepInEx
2. Place mod DLL into: BepInEx/plugins
3. Launch the game

🤝 Compatibility

• Multiplayer safe\
• Uses Valheim ZDO system\
• Compatible with most mods

Avoid mods that modify: - ZNetView painting objects - Same piece prefabs

🧩 Included Artwork Collection

The mod includes a built-in pack of loading screen illustrations, including scenes such as:

• Ashlands encounters and ruins
• Ships and fortresses
• Mistlands themed artwork
• Seasonal Valheim illustrations
• Serpents, seekers, dragons, Gjall and more
• Base building and world atmosphere scenes

A total of 23 picture images are loaded from the embedded asset bundle.
