Minimal Nordic skill level-up notifications with rolling numbers, golden light and subtle ornament. Client-side. Keeps vanilla skill progression, sounds and effects.
FORTIFIED notifications are now fully frost-blue: the medallion rings, ornament, embers, glow and light bloom follow the accent colour instead of staying gold, so fortified level-ups are recognisable at a glance.
1.3.0
Fix TextMeshPro font warnings in the log: the notification is now built while inactive and every label gets the game font before TextMeshPro starts, so it no longer looks for the missing default LiberationSans SDF asset.
New Appearance.NumberEasing option: Exponential (new default: fast start, soft landing), Smooth (1.2 behaviour) or Back (slight overshoot).
FortifySkillsRedux support: "Fortified skill improved" messages are shown in the same style with a FORTIFIED heading and a frost accent (Integrations.FortifySkillsRedux).
BetterUI (Zenox) support: the character level-up message is shown in the same style with a LEVEL UP heading, the player name and a rank chevron (Integrations.BetterUICharacterLevel).
newlvlupeffect_preview accepts skill, fortify or character.
1.2.1
Rename the mod to New LvlUp Effect (plugin ID local.valheim.newlvlupeffect, console command newlvlupeffect_preview, DLL NewLvlUpEffect.dll).
Fix vanilla notification suppression by patching Player.Message instead of the empty Character base method.
Apply ReplaceVanillaMessage to on-screen raiseskill and raiseskill all messages too; console output remains available.
Keep the vanilla message when the custom view cannot be initialised.
1.2.0
Replace the side-by-side level display with an animated old-to-new number transition.
Add a brief glow as the new number settles.
Clip rolling numbers to their own display area.
Preview now demonstrates 5 → 6 without changing skills.
Add release packaging, author metadata and MIT licensing.
