🔨 Crafting System Overhaul

The mod is now fully standalone and no longer requires The Shaper mod to function.

The crafting system has been completely reworked, introducing a new lore-friendly station — Forge of Ages — along with its extensions.

All new historical equipment is now crafted exclusively on the Forge of Ages.

The previous crafting system from The Shaper mod has been retired in favor of a more classic approach, meaning existing equipment is no longer required to forge new gear.

A new core ingredient, Smithing Chronicles of the Far Roads, required for crafting one of the extensions, is now available for purchase from Haldor after defeating Eikthyr.

Two new types of wood and five types of metal fittings have been added.

All content from the Plague Doctor mod has been transferred into this mod.

Several items have been optimized for better performance and improved in-game behavior.

Historical Arsenals
The Historical Arsenals mod brings together a diverse collection of historically inspired gear from different eras and regions. Each set reflects unique cultural traditions and craftsmanship. Every piece of armor and weapon is carefully balanced and fully integrated into Valheim's progression, offering new ways to gear up for every adventure.
🔨 Crafting Station
A dedicated crafting station, the Forge of Ages, and its extensions, are used to craft all new historical equipment.
🧱 Materials

Smithing Chronicles of the Far Roads – required for crafting the first extension, the Drafting Table, and is now available for purchase from Haldor after defeating Eikthyr.

Treated Wood – infused with resin or tar, offering better resistance to moisture and decay. Used as a primary material in weapon crafting.

Fittings – a set of forged rings, plates, belt mounts, and rivets, used as components for crafting both armor and weapons.

Bashrad

Gunjang
Step onto the field of command with Gunjang, clad in traditional Korean armor and weapons inspired by the warriors of the Joseon dynasty. Daowei
Walk the path of the Celestial Realms with Daowei. This armor and weapons are finely crafted in the traditions of great dynasties and legendary warriors. Each piece embodies the wisdom of sages and the might of rulers, a fusion of artistry and battlefield supremacy. From the commanding presence of the warplate to the deadly grace of the guandao, every strike echoes the will of those who shaped history. Shogun

Plague Doctor

Wrapped in the garb of a Plague Doctor, one walks the path between medicine and mortality.
The tools are precise, the remedies questionable, and the patients — well, they never complain for long.
Alchemical brews, surgical steel, and the certainty that no ailment is beyond reach... or final solution.
Disease recoils, the dying still hope, and the dead — well, they stay that way.
In the end, all are treated. One way or another.
