LoadBearing
See the support of every building piece around you while you build: blue on the ground, green strong, red about to fall. Insert toggles it. Shift + click repairs a whole area. With ZenRedecorate, walls and floors can be moved too.LoadBearing
Spot the weak beam before the roof comes down: see the support of every building piece around you at once, and repair a whole wall in one click.
At a glance
- Every piece within 30 m coloured by its support, in the game's own colours: blue on the ground, green strong, red about to fall.
- One key:
Insertswitches the view on, and it shows whenever the hammer is out. - Weak spots only: turn the filter down and only the pieces close to falling stay coloured.
- Repair a whole area in one click:
Shift+ click with the repair tool fixes every damaged piece within 10 m, for the cost of a single repair. - Move walls, floors and beams with ZenRedecorate, not only furniture.
- Smooth in big bases: closest pieces update first, and only pieces whose support changed are recoloured.
Client-side: install it on your own PC only. No dependencies; ZenRedecorate is optional.
Features
Support view
The game colours a piece by its support only while your hammer points at it. LoadBearing colours every building piece within 30 m at the same time, so overhangs and long spans that are about to give way stand out at a glance. Colours update live as you build or tear down, closest pieces first.
Weak spots only
Lower Support filter to hide the strong pieces: at 0.5 only pieces at half support or weaker are coloured, at 0.25 only those close to falling. Pieces resting on the ground can be hidden too (Show grounded pieces), leaving only what other pieces hold up.
Area repair
Hold Shift and click with the hammer's repair tool: every damaged piece within 10 m of the piece you aim at (or of you, if you aim at nothing) is repaired at once.
- The game's rules still apply to each piece: its crafting station must be nearby (the workbench for wood, the stonecutter for stone), and pieces in a ward you can't use are skipped. A message says how many were repaired and why any were left.
- One click costs the stamina and hammer wear of a single repair. Without
Shift, the hammer repairs one piece as usual.
Moving building pieces
With ZenRedecorate installed, walls, floors, beams and anything else that holds other pieces up can be moved with ZenRedecorate's own controls, like furniture. When you pick one up, a message warns that anything resting on it may fall. Pieces around the old and new spot work out their support again, and fall if nothing else holds them up. ZenRedecorate's other rules still apply: wards, reach, its Denied Prefabs list and chests in use.
How to use
- Take out the hammer and press
Insert. Every piece around you takes its support colour. - Put the hammer away and the colours go (the hoe and cultivator don't count). Press
Insertagain to switch the view off. - The view starts off each time you load the game, unless On at start is set.

Multiplayer
- Client-side. Only the players who want it install it, whether they host or join. Versions don't need to match, and players without it are not affected.
- Support values come from the game, so they are correct for pieces built by anyone.
- Area repair uses the game's own repair, so the pieces are repaired for everyone.
- Moving building pieces with ZenRedecorate needs LoadBearing only on the mover's game. Every player's game re-checks the support of the pieces it runs.
Compatibility
- Colours pieces with the game's own highlight; support itself works as usual.
- ZenRedecorate is optional; without it, Move building pieces has no effect. Load order doesn't matter.
- Infinity Hammer: its No support indicator setting hides LoadBearing's colours too.
- Patches:
WearNTear.ResetHighlight,Player.Repair(only while the area repair key is held) and, when installed, ZenRedecorate's move checks.
Uninstalling
LoadBearing adds nothing to the world and saves nothing, so it can be removed at any time. Pieces moved with ZenRedecorate stay where they were placed.
