TamedCreatureXP LevelUp
BETA - Persistent tamed-creature XP and levels, rarity-based progression, an XP-boost Ashlands cape, manual creature backpack, and in-game level 6 achievement. Inspired by wanting to train a tamed boss with a friend.Changelog
0.6.0 — beta
- Added difficulty-based default XP progression for tamed creature species, with custom per-prefab overrides.
- Added the Beastbond Cape, based on the Ashen Cape model and unlocked at tamed-creature level 3; wearing it doubles tamed-creature XP gain.
- Added the one-time in-game Legendary Companion achievement when a tame reaches level 6.
- Made the P key open and close the same creature backpack; equipping the crafted bag consumes it so one item cannot equip multiple creatures.
- Shortened, muted, and reduced the backpack title without resizing titles on other containers.
- Reduced wisp update frequency, cached the small orbiting particles, limited cloned particle counts, and disabled their shadows.
- Updated the beta description with the mod's origin story: wanting to level a tamed boss and add more gameplay to tames with a friend.
0.5.8 — beta
- Renamed the displayed mod to Tamed Creature XP - Level Up.
- Hide the creature backpack frame before another container is shown or closed to prevent a brief flash over chests.
- Keep the vanilla wisp model materials intact; remove the extra custom trail that could render as missing/pink textures, and use a subtle violet light instead.
- Rebuild the visual marker so existing equipped backpacks pick up the corrected wisp appearance.
- Beta release: test the inventory transition and wisp appearance in Gale.
0.5.7 — preview
- Kept persistent tamed-creature XP progression as the primary feature.
- Added a more detailed bronze, leather, and violet frame around the creature backpack inventory, with corner engravings and rivets.
- Highlighted the configured backpack key in the creature interaction prompt.
- Switched live item registration to Jötunn's public ObjectDB registration method and removed the manual ObjectDB.UpdateRegisters call that logged a caught exception in the supplied 0.5.6 log.
- Reduced the backpack wisp glow/trail visual weight.
