🛡️ Valheim Immersive Dedicated Server - Modpack Guide
Welcome to our immersive Valheim experience! This modpack focuses on enhanced gameplay immersion while maintaining server security and quality of life improvements.
📋 Quick Start
Option 1: Mod Manager (RECOMMENDED)
- Download and install r2modman or Thunderstore Mod Manager
- Import our modpack profile code:
[GeekEasyModPack], or [GeekEasyModPackOptional]
- Click "Start Modded" and connect to the server
- Done! ✅
Option 2: Manual Installation
- Download and install BepInExPack Valheim
- Download all required mods (see list below)
- Extract to your Valheim directory
- Copy our config files to
BepInEx/config/
- Launch game and connect
🔧 How Configs Work
Server-Synced Settings (Automatic)
Most gameplay settings are automatically synced from the server when you connect:
- Territory protection (BetterWards)
- Season mechanics (Seasonality)
- Food systems (Sated)
- Stack sizes, crafting ranges, and all gameplay mechanics
- Anti-cheat and security settings
You don't need to worry about these! The server handles them automatically.
Client-Side Settings (Your Configs)
Some settings are personal preferences that affect only your UI/visuals:
- HUD elements and stat displays
- Hotkey bindings
- Visual effects and textures
- Screenshot settings
- Auto-repair toggles
These are included in the modpack with our recommended defaults, but you can adjust them in the BepInEx/config/ folder if you prefer.

🎮 Server Rules & Features
Character Storage
- Your character is stored on the server (ServerCharacters mod)
- This prevents character duplication and item cheating
- You'll always have your progress when connecting to our server
- Cannot use local characters on this server
Territory Protection
- Use Wards to protect your builds (BetterWards)
- Customized permissions system
- Check with admins for ward placement rules
Seasons
- Experience dynamic seasonal changes
- Seasons affect gameplay, visuals, and difficulty
- Plan your adventures around the seasons!
Anti-Cheat
- Multiple anti-cheat systems active
- Don't try to modify items or use cheats
- Fair play keeps the game fun for everyone
⚙️ Customizing Your Experience
In-Game Config Manager
Press F1 (default) to open the Configuration Manager and adjust client-side settings while playing.
Manual Config Editing
Navigate to Valheim/BepInEx/config/ and edit .cfg files with any text editor.
Note: Only edit client-side configs. Server-synced configs will be overridden when you connect.
🆘 Troubleshooting
Game Won't Launch
- Verify all mods are installed correctly
- Check BepInEx is in your Valheim root directory
- Try using r2modman instead of manual installation
Can't Connect to Server
- Ensure you have ALL required mods installed
- Mod versions must match exactly
- Check your firewall isn't blocking Valheim
- Make sure BetterNetworking is installed
Performance Issues
- Lower graphics settings in-game
- Some biome packs add more world content (slight performance impact)
- Disable Discord_Screenshots if not needed
Configs Not Working
- Server-synced configs are controlled by the server
- Only client-side settings can be changed locally
- Try deleting config files and letting mods regenerate them
Character Issues
- Characters are server-side only
- Cannot bring external characters to this server
- Contact admin if character data is lost

🔄 Updates
When we update the modpack:
- Check Discord/announcements for update notifications
- Update your mods through r2modman or download new versions
- Config files usually don't need updating (server handles most)
- Backup your client configs if you've customized them heavily

- No exploiting, cheating, or griefing
