Vargheim — a Ghost Pack server

⚔️ Vargheim Season 2 — pre-registration open

Vargheim is a Ghost Pack community server with a hand-built ruleset: pick three professions and the whole modded economy runs through them; ships over portals; seasons that change what grows and what sails; zone scaling and a season gate so everyone starts the same day. Season 2 is in closed testing now and opens soon. Spots are limited — join the Discord to pre-register. The mod list, sync code and start date go out there first.

VargheimProfessionPack

All twelve Vargheim profession perk sets in one package. Same plugins, same GUIDs (digi.vargheim.<profession>), same config files as the twelve separate addons it replaces — one entry in your mod list instead of twelve. Needs VargheimProfessions; runs on the server and every client.

Install

  • Comes with the Vargheim Season 2 profile (Gale Sync code (handed out in the Discord)).
  • Replaces VargheimBlacksmithing, VargheimBuilding, VargheimCooking, VargheimExploration, VargheimFarming, VargheimFishing, VargheimLumberjacking, VargheimMining, VargheimMysticCrafting, VargheimRanching, VargheimSailing and VargheimWeaponsmithing — uninstall those. If one lingers, BepInEx loads whichever copy has the higher version and logs a "newer version exists" line; harmless, but tidy it up.
  • Server: the same package goes into the server's BepInEx/plugins/.

Config

One file per profession in BepInEx/config/digi.vargheim.<profession>.cfg — unchanged from the separate addons, server-locked while connected.

Changelog

  • 1.2.7 — with Professions 0.9.13: Fishing 1.4.4 — one pending catch per fish (by network id): a fought fish whose pickup is still pending keeps its outcome while another fish is picked up; a retry after a failed or deferred pickup never applies the fight size or rolls Big catch twice; the memory lasts 10 minutes or until the fish really lands, then pays once. From ChatGPT's regression probe (R01–R03).
  • 1.2.6 — Fishing 1.4.3: a catch is paid (log, experience, perfect bonus, Double catch) only when the pickup really succeeds, once per fish; the fight's outcome belongs to the fought fish only — a full inventory or another fish no longer eats it. Never released (superseded by 1.2.7 before install).
  • 1.2.5 — with Professions 0.9.11: Cooking 1.1.2 and Fishing 1.4.2 — Feast and Roe keeper pay out only when the craft actually happened (a full inventory or missing materials no longer hands out the bonus item on every click).
  • 1.2.4 — with Professions 0.9.9: the Alchemist gem gate no longer hides gem recipes from discovery (they show greyed until your level allows them); review fixes from the Alchemist build (items granted by Milkmaid, Feast, Panacea and Roe keeper survive a relog, Tempered edge only refunds on a real upgrade, Quench durability, Herbalist pins).
  • 1.2.3 — robustness pass with Professions 0.9.2: every addon applies its patches one at a time, field lookups no longer crash at startup on a rename, 87 silent catch blocks now log once; Ranching declares its Seasons soft-dependency (Winter herd was sometimes off); Tough pick guards every melee swing; Weather eye and explorer pins fail soft.
  • 1.2.1 — Weaponsmithing 1.1.1: crash on every weapon craft fixed (Tempered edge patches shared a Harmony __state with the craft-tagging pair).
  • 1.2.0 — Alchemist (MysticCrafting 1.1.0): Alembic, four field kits, ten potions, Steady brew / Double distil / Panacea. Exploration 1.1.0: modded wild pickables are explorer-only by biome tier, Herbalist's eye. Weaponsmithing 1.1.0: Quench, Tempered edge. Fishing 1.4.0: Deep line, Roe keeper. Lumberjacking 1.1.0: Kindling. Ranching 1.2.0: Milkmaid. Building 1.1.0: Master builder. Cooking 1.1.0: Feast.
  • 1.1.0 — VargheimFishing 1.3.0: catch experience scales with the fish (hook force) and its size (CatchXp 1 → CatchXpHardest 12, +50% per star) instead of 1 per fish. Other addons unchanged.
  • 1.0.1 — icon and README (no code change).
  • 1.0.0 — first packaged release: identical code to the twelve addons at the versions in the table.
