HeimToolz
Integrated Valheim QoL tools with instant matching-chest production routing, Deep North automation, player-radius station servicing, and live Pathfinder.HeimToolz 1.0.10
HeimToolz is an integrated Valheim quality-of-life toolkit with one public plugin identity and one Configuration Manager entry.
1.0.10 instant output routing
Deposit Outputs Into Matching Chestsnow intercepts production before the item is spawned into the world.- Smelter-family outputs, including the Deep North Frigid Kiln → Liquid Frost, are inserted directly into an allowed chest that already contains that resource.
- CookingStation outputs are routed at
CookingStation.SpawnItembefore a world drop exists. - Fermenter batches are routed at
Fermenter.DelayedTap; only any remainder that could not fit uses the vanilla world-drop path. - The matching-chest rule is strict: HeimToolz does not choose an empty/unrelated chest merely because it has room.
- If no matching allowed chest with room exists inside
Container Range, the resource drops normally. - Output routing uses the existing loaded-container registry and squared-distance checks; it adds no Physics scan or recurring world search.
- The old output router is surgically removed at runtime and replaced without touching unrelated HeimToolz modules.
Deep North input automation from 1.0.8 is preserved: Frigid Kilns pull Ice; Frost Foundries pull Liquid Frost and valid Casts. Numeric configs remain direct-entry and uncapped.
Deep North AutoCrafting
Deep North automation no longer depends on the legacy generic TryFeedStation path recognizing these unusual stations. HeimToolz now tracks the two actual Deep North production machines directly when they load and services them on the configured AutoCrafting refill cadence.
Frigid Kiln
- Tracks
piece_FrostKilndirectly. - Valheim implements it as a fuel-only
Smelter: no ore queue, 25 fuel capacity, and Ice is the fuel/input. - Pulls Ice from allowed nearby storage.
- Tops the kiln up to its live fuel capacity in one efficient owner-side update instead of firing dozens of per-item RPC calls when direct fuel access is available.
- Uses
Container Range,Active Station Radius,Refill Interval Seconds, allowed-container settings andLeave One Input In Chest.
Frost Foundry
- Tracks
piece_FrostFoundrydirectly. - Valheim implements it as a one-slot
CookingStation. - Pulls Liquid Frost from allowed nearby storage and fills the Foundry fuel tank.
- Automatically finds any valid Foundry Cast from the station's own conversion table and loads one into the free slot.
- Existing Auto Pop Cooking Stations behavior remains available for completed output.
Performance design
- No recurring Physics or world-object scan.
- Stations are cached from their normal
Awakelifecycle. - One recovery scan runs only once after the local player exists, to catch stations that were already loaded before the runtime update initialized.
- Container lists reuse HeimToolz's existing cached/registered containers.
- Fuel is applied in bulk when the local client owns the station, avoiding large bursts of one-RPC-per-fuel-item traffic.
- The Deep North pass uses the same unrestricted
Refill Interval Secondsvalue you configure.
The Deep North additions Smith's Aprons, Smoker, and Standing Loom are crafting-station extensions, not independent timed fuel/input processors, so they do not require a separate AutoCrafting feeder.
AutoCrafting behavior
- Every compatible loaded processing station inside
Active Station Radiusis eligible for automatic servicing. - There is no visible station-count cap or millisecond work-budget throttle.
Active Station Radius,Container Range, refill cadence, and other numeric AutoCrafting values are direct-entry settings without soft slider caps.- Hover descriptions state a vanilla value when one exists or the mod default when there is no vanilla equivalent.
Pathfinder
- Live exploration-radius patch around
Minimap.UpdateExplore. Fog Clear Multiplieris read during exploration.- Configuration changes apply during the current game session without restarting.
1.0is the vanilla reveal radius.
Packaging
The public Thunderstore package contains one inspectable HeimToolz.dll. It does not use Base64-encoded assemblies, hidden DLL payloads, Assembly.Load(byte[]), runtime executable downloads, or obfuscation.
